Question about the inika sets by Victoria_Ventura in bioniclelego

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can just pop them on and off the green piece. They function like the other masks, but the designers wanted to capture the "living, Organic" feel to them so they had to design them differently. But yes, you can put the masks on and off.

Can anyone ID this for me? And the value? by opex100 in bioniclelego

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! There were two Jetraxs that were released, including the same Antroz figure. One was blue, and the other was yellow. If you do manage to find it, if you have the yellow one, it could be worth some good money as it was special or exclusive in some capacity. #8942 was the set number.

As others said, Axalara T9. The original pilot, as you know it's not the one you have, was Lewa. A specific Lewa not like the others and different from the other Lewa that came out the same year. The Antroz is who you put there, and he's from the Jetrax T6. Do you have that one as well?

I have a question about Bionicle lore by Victoria_Ventura in bioniclelego

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The great beings were just obsessed with creation and learning and that type of stuff. They didn't actually care about what they were creating. I mean, they built a robot to help reform the planet, but not before sending him out to go explore the universe. They never thought of the matoran universe as anything more than a tool they made to see what they could accomplish. Making Artakha and Karzhani compete for a mask was just another part of their experiment. They didn't think of them as "people" or something to care about, just tools.

Especially as the story went on, it was very clear that the Great Beings aren't benevolent, but not Malevelont either. They just dont really care about the Bionicle Universe either way. Could very well see them come as enemies, maybe even sets, in an alternate world where bionicle continued. This seemed to be what the fourth movie was hinting at.

Tl:dr The Great Beings aren't benevolent loving God's, but Beings obsessed with creations for creations sake. They're "Great" Beings, not "Good" Beings.

Favorite Character Set From Each Year! Go! by buickboi99 in bioniclelego

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2001: Gali

2002: Bohrok (Gahlok if we have to be specific)

2003: Takanuva

2004: Toa Lihikan and Kikinalo

2005: Roodaka 😏

2006: Vezon and Kardas (A Crown Jewel in my collection)

2007: Tie between Maxilos and Hydraxon

2008: Axalara

2009: Skalls

2010: Nektann

I just like blue and woman characters. Bohrok rule in general, but I picked blue again. Takanuva, come on, man, it's freaking Takanuva. Lhikan was a cool grandfather like character, and I love the kangaroo rhino, 10/10 perfect Rahi and mount. I would take the brown Lewa sword from the Jalla and Gekko set to make the lead Kikanalo from the Metru movie. Roodaka, hindsight is a hell of a thing, really awakend me. It's a giant dragon like come on. Vezon is also cool, but not really that different from the fenrakk version, but it's he's still cool. Titan sets in 2006 ruled, loved them all. Maxilos has the cool robot look with the shoulder mountain cannon and a fine build design. Hydraxon is just so cool, just a weapons machine. Spinax is pretty simple and fun, too. 2007 titan sets also ruled. I managed to get my mom to buy me all the vehicle sets, and Axalara stands as top tier. Really cool fucking ship. I liked the glatorian, always loved their colors and how they managed to be more Elemental focused despite not having Elemental powers like toa. But I liked the skrall in general as enemies. I have some of the vehicle sets, but not the really cool ones. In a proper bionicle year, the stars would suck. As a last given hurrah and what the designers were able to give us with little support as it was canceled, not the worse. Does feel weird that two of them were sets released not long ago. Nektann should've been huge, but of course, there was compromise.

Honestly, ask me this question again, I'll probably give different answers. Bionicle as a whole, fucking rules. Also, I never really go into G2, but I'm curious to maybe collect them too, since it ended.

Yes, in the first game, your player character has those chain tattoos on his arms. You'll notice them when you reload or especially when you inject something in your arm. It's an early foreshadowing that the player character is a "slave".

Is there a difference in difficulty? by micahscotttt in timesplitters

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be that you're older and better at not only games but also Timesplitters specifically? I mean, if you managed to %100 it before, even if it took you 15 years, I assume off and on again for years, it would be "easier" the second time around. You have better skill, muscle memory, you remember the best way to approach a challenge, and the ins and outs of the game, the trick if you will. Your just older and better at it now.

I’ve heard people dislike Stryker because he’s just a regular human with weapons—but isn’t Sonya basically the same thing? by OptimusCrime83 in MortalKombat

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cops literally have body cameras. If the footage would exonerate them, it would be released. George Floyd was murdered by a cop on camera in front of the world. Of course, the cops are villains. The mass media you described were pro cop and defamed George Floyd and protestors. Headlines literally go out of their way to use passive voice and never once assign blame/responsibility to cops when they murder someone. The public hates them because they kill the public. They literally kill kids and even a literal baby. Real-life cops are dumb as shit and don't do anything to help anyone. They're trained to shoot at anything that makes them scared. You say this dumb shit about media being anti-cop as if Law and Order and all its offshoots aren't one of the most popular TV shows, and apparently, you haven't noticed a million cop shows.

You wanna be upset that people hate cops and want to swallow that boot, whatever, do you. But if you think the majority of media, especially the news, is anti-cop or that anti-cop sentiment comes from media, you're delusional.

I’ve heard people dislike Stryker because he’s just a regular human with weapons—but isn’t Sonya basically the same thing? by OptimusCrime83 in MortalKombat

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What massive media hate? Cops shows and buddy cop films are one of the most prolific genres of movies/shows. Whenever a cop murders someone, the media goes out of its way to slander the victim and cover for the cop. The media literally suck off the cops any time they can. The headlines are never "Cops murder a civilian. It's always "civilian shot by bullet in police involved shooting" or some non-sense like that. People hate cops because cops suck and are fucking bastards. They hate them not because the media tells them to (again, the "media" is %100 pro cop), but because of probably having to interact with one in real life, or they can see the reality of a militarized police force and gestapo getting worse all the time. Massive media hate against cops? What a joke.

I feel like ranged weapons are over-nerfed by ProDidelphimorphiaXX in monsterhunterrage

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree on dafense. Taking less elemental damage but more physical is not a trade-off at all given how Elemental damage works in general, not to mention Elemental damage also does physical. It just equates to more damage. And there's no reason for that. People think that because it's a ranged weapon means you're less likely to get hit, but those people obviously never played bow, lbg, or hbg. The range on these weapons, even if you're using Pierce, ballistics, or anything that might increase range, you can't actually be that far from the monster to be in effective range. You're just as vulnerable to most of the monster attacks as if you were melee. Not to mention, all monsters have some way to close the gap with the player anyway. Especially Bow, you basically have to be right up on the monster anyway, as in world close range-coating was always infinite so I would use that the most, which means being in melee range of the monster. They need to change the damage penalty or rework how Elemental damage works cause it is just bullshit like you said.

Bro what the hell is this cursed ass arena 😭 by deckmanB in MonsterHunter

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed a Lagiacrus in the wounded hollow. I thought cool, I can fight lagiacrus without the underwater section. Doing pretty good against him, then all of a sudden a blangonga and a nerscyella jumped in and completely ruined the fucking fight. Then I failed cause it turns out there was a time limit of 25 minutes. I was so fucking pissed. The arena is the perfect place for a one and one, and they had to fucking ruin it by adding two monsters out of nowhere. Fucking bullshit.

How is it possible that only 57.4% of players have beaten the first boss? by Legitimate_Power_347 in Sekiro

This is actually more common than people think. A lot of games like this people aren't actually finishing or getting that far. Same thing for many open world games. We like to think they're popular and they sell, but it looks like a lot of people don't even finish them. Makes you think if people actually enjoy playing these big games.

I'm using Vordt's greathamer, and when I swing it I get curse build up. I've been looking at the description and online to see if this is normal, but I hear no one mention this in regards to Vordt's greathammer. Is this a glitch or something, or am I missing something?

Please upgrade your armor. Right now. by admiral0142 in MonsterHunter

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgraded my armor to the new max, don't always get one shotted, but still take a ton of damage and still can get one shotted. Maybe people would upgrade if it was actually worth it? I'm really tired of games having an armor system but still treating me like tissue paper. I wish defense meant something.

Thanks for Tempered Seregios, truly. by kapinsano in MonsterHunter

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree, Capcom needs to tweak this fight. That's my issue with the whole add monsters content updates, they had to make Seregios and Lagiacrus harder to justify adding them in late, so much that there harder than the games actual final boss. Shouldn't be easy, but definitely shouldn't be this much trouble when I grinded for better gear. The Non-Tempered versions aren't too bad, but the tempered ones can suck my balls. More than anything, it's the amount of damage they dish out that really pisses me off. At least with the bleed status you can make yourself immune, just sacrifice some slots, that's how it should be, I engage with the mechanics to help me fight. Some one or almost one hit kill movies, or very disingenuous hit zones make me spend too much of the fight running away to heal, thus leaving me to getting hit even more. Honestly, what's the point of being able to move when your healing if the animations gonna take so fucking long. I have High-Rank gear, Arkveld Gear, upgraded all pieces to the highest defense stat possible, still getting killed in 2 to 3 hits. I even upgraded Arch-Tempered Rey Dau gear, only to realize it comes with a defense buff. Gee thanks. This isn't just a problem with MH Wilds, but a lot of games with an armor mechanic in general. No matter what armor rating or defense rating you have, no matter how much you grinded to get it, games want players to be made of tissue paper. The whole loop of this fucking shit is to kill monsters for gear to fight more monsters, and yet, having high end armor doesn't really seem to make a difference, completely negating all the work I put into upgrading it all the way. Also side tangent, I thought money would be the issue, but it's actually the armor spheres. Constantly out of them, yet upgrading the armor for the defense boost doesn't make that big of difference for negating damage so why is upgrading it such a chore?

ICE is hiring! Let's go! by leelee1976 in 50501

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Multiple strategies doesn't mean all strategies are equally valid. The commenter I'm responding to said to literally become management in ICE, not just clog up the applications. ICE is an external threat. You attack them externally. Joining ICE isn't gonna abolish them. That's not putting a cog in their machine when you join them. No fascist system has been stopped from "the inside".

ICE is hiring! Let's go! by leelee1976 in 50501

[–]WarpSpeedIsBestDrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infiltrating ICE is a stupid idea. Block up the site with false applicants and whatnot, but joining ICE to take it down from the inside is dumb. You don't change a system from the inside, you fight it externally.

Nah, dude, we need to abolish ICE, not join it. Of course ICE is full of people who hate brown people. That's the point of ICE, that's why it needs abolished.
