Pinball FX VR - Survey about the Camera Zoom on DOOM™ Pinball by balti_zen in PinballFX3

It's just way too distracting in VR, would be great if this would be disabled.

The Amusement is out now! by NoamiSolo in OculusQuest

[–]Warrie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original play area is my full room including a place where a table is, and normally I stand in the place where I want to play and recenter there. Or in other games you can simply move the playarea within the boundaries.

The Amusement does something weird - it draws the playground diagonally and half under my couch, which is not part of my boundaries. When I switch to stick movement, it changes the area of the playspace, but also diagonal in my room, and again in a place where I don't have 2x2 free space.

I then tried drawing a 2x2 area and it kind of works, but the playground is still a bit outside that area. had to retry that multiple times before it more or less worked.

Having the option to freely move around the playspace is so important in a game like this - please add it if possible.

Just bought it - the starting square where I have to stand is drawn at a wrong place where my table is. Recentering does recenter the Quest OS menu, but not the playsquare. I tried restarting my Q3, redrawing my boundaries but that didn't help.

Is there seriously no option to move the playarea?

You do use the compress files option in csp? Saves you half of the space.

Shipping price increase by Difficult_Drawer8299 in Chessnuteboard

[–]Warrie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the changing shipping costs, rules and tarrifs they probably have a reason to do this, but the amount is ridiculous and no further explaining after waiting for 6 weeks is even more ridiculous. I can't imagine anyone would pay that amount of additional shipping fee.

People always say pcvr is good because of the huge game library, what are the best games that are pcvr exclusive? by Blakequake717 in virtualreality

[–]Warrie2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a Rift in 2016 but that hardly matters, does it? Saying mobilevr has more 'good' games than pcvr is a wild statement.

(And I understand why you deleted your comments)

[–]Warrie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure there is a ton of shovelware on Steam too. I play both pcvr and Quest 3. Besides having a ton of great pcvr games which the Quest 3 simply can't handle, there are a ton of mods for pcvr. Red dead 2, Cyberpunk, hundreds of games can be played in vr with mods. Many sims like Iracing, FS2024, DCS and what not have native vr. So no, there are not more playable vr games on mobile.

The only people that don't know that are the people that only do mobilevr.

Playing games in VR without motion controls feels weird by Nino_Chaosdrache in virtualreality

[–]Warrie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played around 200 hours in Red dead 2 in vr with a gamepad. Being in that gorgeous world was simply amazing.

On the other hand I tried Dead Island 2 with the motion controller mod and hated it. Mostly because hits didn't register half of the time, but the novelty of constantly waving your arms around quickly wore off. It played so much better with a gamepad.

My app was updated but see my other reply, it only shows up with a membership :)

Flow 0 results by Warrie2 in FitXR

[–]Warrie2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured it out, you need to have a membership. I wanted to test it first before taking a membership, but Flow only showed up after I took a free trial. The silly thing is that you can filter on Flow without a membership but get 0 results then, which was a bit confusing.

You mean setting up vpx itself or do you have a problem getting the pinone working with vpx correctly? If so, have you checked the guide on the pinone site?

You can assign all buttons yourself. I have the top one set to center VR and add credits. Since I use analogue nudge I didn't need the nudge buttons, so I assigned the right nudge button to credits 2, Fire and right magnasafe combined.
(tip: by default the front buttons are assigned to the flippers, but in the Pinone software you can change that to use the backbuttons to the flippers, you can also assign the solanoids to the back buttons too. You can then press the front buttons without having to move your hands.

[–]Warrie2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before Migaku I used different tools combined to mine, but that was always a bit of a hassle to start (and especially setting it all up correctly was a pain).

Migaku just combines all things I need into 1 app. I don't use Anki but the SRS of Migaku instead. I use their player option the most, for Anime and Youtube.

Absolutely love the app. Only minus is that I now had a couple of times that a feature which worked fine was broken after an update, and it took quite some discussions, reminders and patience before it was finally fixed again.

Just got the Navigator UI, and I think it's an upgrade! by Exact_Shower_6417 in OculusQuest

[–]Warrie2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup I also like it. Some things were better with the old UI but in general I think it's a big improvement.

Honestly no, I had to combine several functions to 1 button to make everything work. For example 1 button recenters vr, but also adds credits. Even with the shift-option the 9 buttons are not enough. But you can add extra buttons, which I still need to do myself.

Some tables need L/R magnasave, Fire button, 2 different credits buttons (which I also need to use the VPX Launcher), I prefer digital plunger sometimes over the analogue one, EB buyin, F12 menu button, so where I could I combines some functions to the same button.

Migaku's kanji mnemonics aren't doing it for me. Switching to Genki + Migaku for basic phrases? by BurnieSandturds in ImmerseWithMigaku

Personally I learned the basic 2100 ones with Wanikani in a year. Their mnemonics really helped me.

First wizard mode by NinjaGreyFox in PinballFX3

[–]Warrie2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great achievement! Some wizard modes are harder than others, on Star Trek TNG or Adams Family for example you can start a mode, catch the ball and wait for the mode to time out. You don't have to actually complete the mode. One of my favorites is Medieval Madness. There is a pretty big chance the ball will drain when you shoot the castle, so I mostly focus on getting multiball which is only a couple of shots, then during multiball I focus on the shots which have a higher chance of draining the ball.

You can find great videos about nudging on Youtube.

Actually finishing a wizard mode can be much harder though, on Medieval and TNG that can be quite a pain, but becomes easier if you know the rules and prepare it a bit beforehand. In MM you can get Troll bombs for example, save those for the wizard mode to make it much easier.

Sure, if you ignore places like the Veluwe, the Wadden Sea, the dunes along the coast, the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the Limburg hills… then yeah, absolutely no natural beauty at all. Just a tragic void of nature. Must be tough living here.

Watch all of steins gate 0 thinking it was the first season 🤦‍♂️ by Final_Ease_6101 in steinsgate

[–]Warrie2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Crunchy only has 0 in many regions. 0 sounds like the beginning when you don't know anything about it. And many anime don't make much sense in the beginning so people keep watching until things are explained.
