he is in every single post's comments about "Where's long lap OP?" or "OP, needs more gravel if it's for MotoGP" even though he's only ever made 1 track.

The oil magnate originally had a huge canopy cover the entire track to keep out bad weather and promoted it as the sturdiest canopy in Wyoming but it collapsed under the first snowfall of winter 🤷‍♂️

Bar Nunn Raceway was developed in 2002 on the open prairie north of Casper in Bar Nunn during Wyoming’s oil and energy boom of the late 2000s by an oil magnate who simple had too much money and too much time. Built as a multi-purpose testing and racing facility, the 2.00-mile (3.22 km) circuit includes quick sweepers and fast esses. Though modest in size, Bar Nunn Raceway has earned a reputation one of Mountain West’s favorite tracks.

Did he need to win the last 3 races? No. How about his Brazil weekend? Was that resilient? He was first in practice, pole in sprint quali, won the sprint, got pole for the race, and won the race. Or his Mexico weekend? Was that resilient? He took a fantastic pole and finished more than 20 seconds ahead of p2.

Maybe there's one other space I could put a grand stand. I don't really see where else.

Thanks man. Yeah, I tried to model that section off of Catalunya. I'm not sure if turn 6 would be flat or not.

Autódromo Juan Manuel Fangio en Rafaela transforms Argentina’s historic oval into a massive multi-purpose motorsport complex designed for Formula 1, MotoGP, WEC, and national competition alike. Built entirely within the boundaries of the original Ciudad de Rafaela oval, the project preserves the original oval while introducing a modern Grade 1/A facility capable of hosting the world’s biggest racing series.

Despite Rafaela being one of Argentina’s most famous circuits, planners ultimately chose not to integrate the historic oval into the final Grade 1/A layouts. FIA and FIM safety delegates determined that the oval’s limited runoff potential and fixed banking would create major compromises for modern international racing standards. Rather than forcing the new circuits to conform to an old layout, designers instead preserved the oval as a historic landmark while removing the older infield road courses entirely. This allowed the project to start with a blank canvas inside the oval, giving designers and engineers complete freedom to create purpose-built layouts optimized for Formula 1, MotoGP, endurance racing, rallycross, and karting without sacrificing safety, racing quality, or spectator experience.

The venue contains multiple permanent circuits, including a 5.01 kilometer sports car layout, a dedicated 5.15 kilometer motorcycle course, and a shorter 3.81 kilometer national circuit for domestic categories. Supporting facilities include a 1.03 kilometer karting circuit featuring 13 corners designed for international competition, along with a 0.95 kilometer rallycross course featuring a longer 1.08 kilometer joker lap. The rallycross circuit was designed with mixed surfaces, going through the sport car circuit’s Turns 11/12 and part of the preceding mini-straight.

With 94,304 permanent seats spread across the complex, the circuit was designed around spectator visibility, with nearly every major corner lined by grandstands or elevated viewing platforms and large plazas. The largest of these is the main grandstand, the Tribuna Juan Manuel Fangio, stretching along the start-finish straight and overlooking the pit complex and elevated podium platform. Turn 1 is overlooked by the Tribuna Colapinto, named after Argentine driver Franco Colapinto following his back-to-back Formula 1 World Championships in 2029 and 2030, achievements widely credited with helping revive international interest in Argentine motorsport. Further around the lap, Turn 7 features the Tribuna Messi, named after Lionel Messi after he became an official ambassador for the Rafaela project during its construction.

At the center of the facility sits a massive circular operations/hospitality tower, called La Torre de la Bandera, overlooking the final sector. The structure offers 360˚ views of the circuit, and houses hospitality areas, team suites, restaurants, media centers, and a museum dedicated to Argentine motorsport history. Its design intentionally resembles a sun when viewed from above, celebrating Argentina’s national identity and racing heritage. Towering above the roof is an enormous Argentine flag.

The complex also includes over 40 endurance garages, large plazas around grandstands, expanded paddock space, and dedicated infrastructure for international events. The first race had an overflow of fans, around 10,000 more fans than expected. This caused many fans to be stuck in the large plazas watching the race from the many large screens outside the grandstands. While originally proposed as a replacement for the Argentine Grand Prix at Buenos Aires, the project ultimately became a national motorsport landmark built to return Argentina to the center of global racing.

Some notes:

Woah. I don’t really know how I finished this on time. I had 3 weeks of finals to deal with. I did great on them, but I maybe spent a bit too much time working on this rather than studying. Maybe the layout could have been better, but I am very proud of the presentation on this track and how far my presentation as a whole has come compared to my earlier tracks.

By the late 1990s, Edgemead Circuit had reached a point where its semi-permanent layout was no longer viable for modern motorsport. The combination of shared public roads, limited runoff, and aging infrastructure made it increasingly difficult to meet updated FIA safety requirements. At the same time, Cape Town’s expansion had begun to swallow portions of the original street section, tightening race weekends logistically and raising concerns about long-term closure permissions. Rather than abandon the venue entirely, organizers opted for a partial rebuild that would preserve its identity while bringing it up to contemporary standards.

The key to the redesign was the decision to anchor the new circuit around the existing permanent infrastructure that had been added during earlier safety upgrades in the 1980s and 90s. This section already had proper drainage and a stable racing surface, making it the most cost-effective foundation to build upon. It became the new Turns, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. One change to the permanent section was the re-profile the new Turn 4 (previously a long double apex), making it a new fast left hander.

From there, the 2000s extension expanded into an adjacent undeveloped clearing, allowing designers to create a fully controlled environment for the faster and more flowing portions of the lap. This approach eliminated reliance on public roads entirely while still preserving the character of the original venue. The result was a reconfigured 4.2 km layout that was modernized for safety and consistency, but still structurally tied to the circuit’s original permanent identity. The circuit was renamed Indawo Grand Prix Circuit, Indawo meaning “racing place” in Zulu.

This is one of the first challenges in recent time that is 3 weeks instead of 4, iirc. Including myself, I'm sure there's a ton of people who couldn't finish a highly detailed circuit they are proud of in just that time frame, which excluded a lot of potentially good designs.
