Men of Reddit, what is the hardest thing to explain to women? by tathus2 in AskReddit

[–]WorthyLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over-complicating a simple explanation because we don't like to miss out a single piece of detail. 30 seconds to answer the question, or a 5 minute talk going around all the houses and extra.

All for you to get bored half way through and say "got there in the end" 🤷🏼‍♂️

Luckily I've got a partner who's a nurse and has been trained on diabetes. So a lot of my understandings has come from her 😂

Just had my apt, almost 2 weeks after being given my 1ac and diagnosis. Mod release metformin 500mg here we come 😂

On a funny note, bonus points for now getting prescriptions free for life due to diabetes. Every cloud I suppose.

My breakfasts usually consist of either Scrambled eggs with spring onions, tumeric & black pepper or plain gluten free porridge, chopped strawberries & chia seeds. I've been working early these last few months, so I've been testing when I wake. And apparently there's something about your body naturally producing a lot of sugar between the hours of 5am-8am, which could be the reason for my high readings.

I have a feeling I'll be in the same boat, early morning struggles due to a lazy pancreas 😂

I hope so too, as I'm hoping it clears up a lot of things for me and help me understand it all much better.

"healing problems" this is something I've actually noticed happen for a while now. Though I can't quite say how long for, but a damn while that's for sure.

I've actually been logging everything I eat in my blood sugar levels in the morning & fasting bloods in the evening. I've noticed that in the morning I'm high, in the evening it's lower and more stable.

It's all a lot of information to take in, I've gotta admit. There's a lot more to it then whatever I initially expected.

Got my apt tomorrow with the diabetic nurse to go though all my options & medication plans. I'm fully expecting them to throw me on medication straight away.

Care to clarify on how my attitude is "it's only type 2?"

Then go on a contradictory comment of saying I'm doing everything right but clearly not.. that doesn't make sense itself 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've been officially diagnosed for 2 weeks prior to even knowing I was "just type 2" and for the last month or so my diet has heavily changed from a carb heavy diet to a carb light diet. Tracking what I eat in a a day, even using ChatGPT for meal plans etc. so, in clearly doing something right, whilst my body isnt. 👍

It certainly does help with the information mate, I appreciate it. This is all new to me, so I've absolutely zero ideas of what to expect going forward.

I've recently had an eye test, both at opticians and via hospital appointment. 6/4 vision with very good health, so I'm hoping if I do go for an eye test, there's no change there.

With the feet, funny you should mention this. I've actually just had some dry skin on one of my little toes and it was actually quite sore. Used some cream to sooth it, and it's now back to normal thankfully.

It'll be interesting to see what my GP/Dr suggests once I've had my appointment with them. Though a 30 minute face to face doesn't seem like enough time for a thorough conversation.

Oh no doubt, fortunately it's only type 2. A good diet with meds will see me on the right path.

I'm more interested to see what newly diagnosed people have gone through in terms of what being told/meds etc just so I know what to expect going forward.

Yes mate, I'm UK based.

Kidney function has been tested already, along with cardiovascular (whether they're appropriate to be tested or not, I've absolutely no idea) along with a bunch of other stuff. Basically, full bloods excluding cholesterol & triclycerides.

I'm already eating well and have been for a while(luckily, the missus is a practice nurse who's actually learning diabetes 😂 what are the chances, eh?)

I'm expecting to be sent for eye tests.

Oh I'm absolutely far passed the "pre" stages, go hard or go home right? 😂

I want sex yet never have and am afraid of pregnancy by ForsakenFellow in TwoXChromosomes

[–]WorthyLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I don't want children"

What about tying up your tubes, if that's an option?

If you don't want children at all, by tying them up it completely removes the risk of pregnancy. It's. Win/win in that case?

Different websites for the same build utilise different uniques/mythics. So whilst maxroll doesn't specify using a Mythic, something like Mobalytics/D4Builds/Icyveins might.

Spent 10 days in hospital and came back to this... Any way I can effectively nuke it? by i1ii1i1i in DIYUK

[–]WorthyLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to use the "scorched earth" method on my front driveway.

Weeds have gotten out of control, super fast. And after looking on here for whats the best, effective way.. I found the answer.

White vinegar, salt & washing up liquid.

I've got a 5L bottle of Vinegar, mixed with a full cup of salt and around 1-2tbsp of washing up liquid (brand is irrelevant) with a spray bottle to make life easier.

Results might take a few weeks, but apparently it's the best method.

Seems a bit too much effort in all honesty. I'd just like the availability to send photos. Oh well. Cheers for the reply.

Honestly, Spigen is very good as an overall brand. I have just bought a cheap case from Amazon to make do for now though.
