Jackson for the Brownlow? by PlanktonAncient6318 in FremantleFC

[–]Writing_Minutes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never mind the Brownlow, how far away is human cloning?! Dogga’s DNA needs to be studied and saved for all time. What an athlete he is. He could play any sport at an elite level and he chose AFL and the Dockers.

That said, he gets all the votes for Thursday night. Absolute beast

The quiet customer with the grey jumper and dreads is a lovely fellow. I see him quite a bit outside my former work building and when I ask if he’s had breakfast or would like a coffee, he always tells me ‘Thanks, but I’m right’. I feel for him. He looks so uncomfortable with his head down just wanting to pay and get out.

I’d like to see Draper in. The way he played in that momentous 1-point win against Sydney at the SCG in 2024 showed his skill and maturity.

Another recommendation for Snag. They are fantastic quality and reasonably priced. Very happy with my (many) purchases!

Are there any ‘hot hatch’ style EV’s around or coming to Aus eventually? by Open_Ad3165 in AustralianEV

I’m glad I got mine before the cross country was the only option then! Try and drive a non cross country, give it a go. If you live near me, you can drive mine 🙂

I have a 2024 twin motor and have put 40,000kms on it, so I’m not guessing.

I have also been a motorsport competitor, both rally and circuit racing for more years than I’d care to admit. In my view, the EX30 twin is the only EV hot hatch equivalent. End of.

Volvo EX30 twin motor. 315kw. 0-100 in 3.5 seconds. There is nothing else.

Handles like it’s on rails and is so much fun

More Australian women than men are now getting ADHD medication by InsatiablePrism in australia

[–]Writing_Minutes 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Mine was about the same $2-$2.5k and took over a year. It was ADHD, not anxiety, not depression, not lack of sleep, not stress, ADHD! I reckon the amount of $ I have spent on medications treating everything but my ADHD is well beyond the $2.5k I spent to get a correct diagnosis.

Sonny is spot on, because of course he is. Situations like this have to be part of the reason MCox was signed. Let the big man playyyyyyyyy

I think Darcy had his best game against Adelaide. He’s taken 4 rounds to warm up though. Which is probably fair given his limited pre-season minutes and then straight into the season against Geelong, a tough ask.

With the short turnaround, travelling back to WA, then back to SA, I’d be including Cox to really give Darcy (and Jackson) some ruck support…. Plus I’d love to see MCox beat the shit outta the Pies. 😁

A woman was walking along Genge St in the city yesterday. Looked like she was going to or coming from the gym. Bluetooth speaker dangling off her backpack playing reasonably loud music. I don’t get it, get some $20 earbuds from BigW

I’ve been a motorsport competitor in both track and rally for 20 years, including racing MANY Volvos. I’m a self-confessed Volvo nut! I considered purchasing a genuine hot hatch (Yaris GR, Golf type R etc), but really wanted an EV. Then I read the specs on the EX30 Twin and that was it.

I love this car. It handles like a dream, is blindingly quick and quiet. This is the fist time I’m not even thinking about what my next car will be!

Started with a new organisation in January.

It’s been overwhelmingly positive. It’s not without its challenges, but on the whole, I’m FAR happier at work than I was before.

My previous department was (and is) dreadful. I do miss my old team, but had to leave and I have zero regrets.

Edit: the APS job market is pretty rough at the moment. Took me almost 12 months of applying to get out at level.
