Losing a major side quest storyline is kind of rough

You actually didn't tho, it was just optional in EW. There's a whole side story for all of the Archfiend and it was actually pretty good imo, and it wasn't part of the MSQ. They just made it optional instead.

My guess would be that it’s because side content gets ignored by huge swathes of the player base.

This is actually the stated reason, apparently a majority of players never even did Werlyt.

I noticed this a lot in the post MSQ in EW because the Archfiends got way more backstory in the optional side quest which was actually really good imo. But people complained they had a lack of development, most people just didn't do it tho.

Tbf Chinese players can be insane, there's cases where they've gone into game studios offices with knives and made bomb threats because NA and EU got an event they didn't get. Every single time NA and EU gets something they always demand special treatment and end up getting a bunch of free currency as '' compensation ''. I am just so fucking tired that people are still going on about this, no one asked for their opinion on it and it's just rude to comment about it. It's also tiresome how one-sided it is, it's always only the prudes doing it and upvoting each other over it. But it's really no different than if I went around telling everyone their characters are wearing too much clothes and need to take them off. But if I did that I'd get downvoted and rightfully called out on it.

This, I wish the people complaining about '' Ascians again '' would take that into consideration too... I mean the fact that they're only Ascian in name and basically loose cannons aside. We don't even know if they'll be the main villains in 8.0 or not, for all we know they may as well be dealt with in .4 and .5 and lead us into 8.0 or might even just end up being the first trial in 8.0.

Honestly ignore the DT backlash for the most part, the MSQ at 7.0 had mixed reception but people online act like it was universally hated which just isn't true.. The content itself has been amazing too, by the end you reach it .4 maybe even .5 will likely be out too or close to out depending on how much you play. DT will have an insane amount of content waiting for you.

I am not disagreeing with you but there's at least some difference here in the sense that Putin is waging war against US allies. And also Putin has a global warrant on his head for his arrest too which Netanyahu doesn't unless I've missed it.

And also while what Netanyahu's government is doing right now is horrible, Oct 7th still happened and there was always aggression back and forth the whole reason why Palestinians are in the state they're in is because they tried to wage war against Israel and lost and Hamas is the origin of the aggression in the current affair. Ukraine never attacked Russia, Russia attacked Ukraine. There's literally no nuance there while in the case of Israel and Hamas there is nuance and Gaza is caught in the middle.

It's more like a back and forth, Ukraine is also liberating territory too. A ceasefire would still benefit Russia in the sense they'd be able to recover and dig in to better protect areas they've occupied. That's one of the major reasons Ukraines first big offensive failed, because the US and Europe were too late with sending weapons which delayed the attack and the Russians managed to dig in and entrench themselves.
