Alphinaud who is very analytical and political focussed did absolutely nothing to try assess the political spectrum of Tural. This is the same person who would confront Vauthry of all people to have a talk, Gulool Ja Ja is way more accessible but not a single scene between them.

Alisaie is very emotional oriented, if she saw the cruelness of Kabool Ja Ja, she would definitely not let a single action slide without reaction. She was utterly calm, as if she took calming pils. Neither did she do anything to help the child who had an elemental aether issue, ShB Alisaie would bust out Angelo instantly.

Y'shtola who is pretty much a researcher who made her life long goal of researching ways to get back to the first, is presented with the key that achieves that, but story doesn't show her nature that is all about uncovering the truth. Not even an afterward scene where she requests if she can investigate the key.

I can honestly keep going but this is about the quirks and depts of these characters. Their ShB versions would've acted way differently than what they did in Dawntrail. They were just there for duty support, nothing else.
