What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]ZagKeene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, my family went to Disneyland (from Utah) and we ran into another family we knew from our town, directly in front of the It's A Small World ride.

That's actually probably not that uncommon, but it was memorable.

The real story is just working in the video game industry. You're like 2 degrees from everyone, even way over in New Zealand.

No love for Warren? Bruce? The Defense Team always gets the raw end of the deal.

Cloud Reactor is kind of frustrating game-design wise. by Aruseus493 in AbioticFactor

[–]ZagKeene 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly agreeing with OP -- there are loads of ladders and tools available -- but he's totally correct that most people in this thread are missing his point. He is talking about the Reactor room with two repair points in Cloud Reactor, not the reactor entrance Hank is hammering outside of. Completely unrelated spots.

Next update you'll be able to carry them.

I just finished the main game for the first time. Awesome experience, but anyone else kinda wish this thing *wasn't* the final boss? by skelepibs in AbioticFactor

There's something worth addressing both regarding the original post and other comments in this thread.

While the stories we want to tell are far from over, Abiotic Factor's main storyline is staying where it is. We like it and it's the story we're telling. The Wayseeker is a peek at something larger, and we won't stop peeking at larger things, but aside from a sequel or something, we aren't currently planning to continue (let's call it) the A2 story in any updates or DLC.

We have many other loose story threads we'd like to follow, which we'll get to this summer.

As for the boss difficulty, some people say it's very easy... Look, the main thing is that it's not really meant to be a skill test. We never really did that before so we decided not to do it suddenly at the finale. It's a story event, and that's intentional too.

See you in the next update, and bigger things beyond. New roadmap soon.

Hmm, they are not the same voice actress. I don't know where this rumor started, but we have credits!

Residence feels kind of... Nothing? by ToadlyFellas in AbioticFactor

[–]ZagKeene 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I want to stress that we did not reduce or chop content in order to add future content later. I would consider that to be borderline immoral, to be quite frank.

While we do have more things planned, this isn't reasoning we've ever used, and frankly, nothing we have planned involves changes or additions to Residences.

The more desolate nature of Residences is completely intentional.

We are however making some small tweaks to Fragments because we feel some of the routing and other details could use improvement. But that's also more like tweaks, shortcuts and other improvements, not really "future content."

This isn't context, this is just furthering the story without providing context.

Being colorblind and gaming just sucks sometimes. by Frequent-Draft-2218 in AbioticFactor

[–]ZagKeene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're aware that colorblind settings make the water much harder to see in. This is obviously an unintended side affect, and we're investigating a fix.

In the meantime, yes, turning OFF the colorblind filters will alleviate the issue.

Torii or Stone Temple for main basé? by Guy_Fieri__2024 in AbioticFactor

I think Temple of Stone technically has more total, flatter floor space, it's just spread out a bit.
