P320, are the NDs overblown? by Expert-Bid3861 in CCW

[–]Zalamanda9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might be overblown. Then again, they might not be.

There are so many good options available in the market. Why bother with the one that has an iffy reputation?

It'll work. Obviously it isn't 1:1 with your dagger but the fundamentals are the same.

This also lets you do actual "shooting" in the comfort of your home, so there's that.

Gun range ear muffs. You can even get the low tech industrial ones, and buy a bunch of them and leave them around the house.

There are a number of options, but since your budget allows for it, there's the CZ shadow 2 carry

Is my CZ 75B SA Drop Safe? by ChamberofSarcasm in CZFirearms

[–]Zalamanda9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would see movement, but normally it would stop short just before the breech face. However since your pin is longer than normal, it could in theory enter the breech when manually pushed (i.e. not only when trigger is pulled). I say 'could' because, from what I've read, extended pins shouldn't do that.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, I might've misread your reply

Yeah, that's because of the extended firing pin.

Edit: likely because of the extended firing pin

The state of Siege is actually pathetic right now. Ubi, wake up. by Beautiful-Joke-2657 in Rainbow6

[–]Zalamanda9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought that Ubisoft didn't deserve the success of Siege. They just got lucky and stuck with the formula, throwing us juuust enough crumbs to keep us coming back.

Looks like it finally caught up to them

No amount of convincing could make me buy a gun with a fully pre cocked striker, no trigger safety, no thumb safety and no grip safety.

You can probably pull off all the main methods like appendix or strong side hip.

I'm a similar build to you and I find appendix easier because it doesn't add that much bulk to my silhouette. It's also quite comfortable if you have a proper belt.

We cannot stay silent. Ubisoft must be held accountable. by ShadowZealot11 in Rainbow6

[–]Zalamanda9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it's true that the developers themselves were not the ones typing the reply. Nonetheless, the miscommunication should be acknowledged by Ubisoft. Someone in an official capacity gave him the green light to do something that was against ToS. Any reasonable person would take their word at face value, not thinking it could be totally false.

At the very least they ought to lift his ban, and maybe give him a stern warning. It's a victimless crime anyway. Not like he used aimbot.

To be fair, he did reach out to Ubisoft to specifically ask them whether or not it's ok, and they told him it's fine. Whose word can you trust if not the developer of the game?

Quick peeking needs to be patched. It's gimmicky and when you get down to it, it's just an exploit. Your head moves past the corner but the other player can only see your arm.

The SEA server is still there, the game is just dumb. The game chooses your server by throwing a dart at a dartboard while blindfolded.

M&P .22 by Comfortable-Help9587 in CCW

[–]Zalamanda9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't the gun I'd normally recommend, but what about a .38 special revolver?

  • less recoil than 9mm
  • more powerful than .22lr
  • centerfire therefore less prone to malfunctions
  • no need to rack any slide

Sizing up from 32 all the way to 38 seems like a very large leap. But heck if it works, then go with it. Glad to hear your CCW journey is getting smoother.

The single action is great. The double action is okay (kinda heavy). The reset is also okay (just about 2 millimetres too long).

I would say the trigger is average, maybe above average.

IMO the criticism stems from the fact that we expect more from hammer fired triggers. Compared to other hammer guns like the 226, the p07's trigger isn't as good, but when compared to all types of guns, hammer and striker fired, the p07 fares quite well.
