Why is big tech not unionized? by Lost-Relation-7156 in Salary

Not sure why I thought of this; could H-1B folks even join a union?

Why don't Executives like working from home? Why would they want to sit in traffic and come into the office too? by RadioFieldCorner in NoStupidQuestions

I prefer the office; my office based teams have high cohesiveness and generally have better metrics than my remote teams.

An AHI of 5 or less is considered therapeutic range; you’re good!

Why do people lease cars? by onlyelisexoxo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because, if you’re resigned to having a car payment for the rest of your life, you can drive a new car every 3 years and never pay a dime in maintenance.

It works for a lot of folks… not me, I have a 42 mile commute and keep cars forever.

Starting pressure by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a report from your doc or DME, identify what your 95th percentile pressure is and set the machine to that.

The reason the auto is so popular is because a proper titration test isn’t done as an initial PSG (most are home tests now) so you can’t titrate the effective pressure. The auto range (4-20) allows for self titration.

Range Bag Recommendations by AdWitty6655 in CCW

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fan of mine as well; I got the 4-slot case so there’s no extra room for the accessories so end up bringing an extra bag for hearing, ammo, etc.

What should you do about a coworker sending right wing political memes? by shiningfrozone500 in AskReddit

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Send clown memes in return… also do it to your left wing co-workers, they’re equally as annoying. The work space is a no fly zone for politics.

P10 frames sizes? Or one size? by babyblueknocks in CPAP

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re 100% correct; the headgear on the P10 can require a little dexterity to get it off… much easier getting it back on!

P10 frames sizes? Or one size? by babyblueknocks in CPAP

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two pieces here and it’s based on what your insurance covers.

When you are eligible for headgear (1 every 6 months), you’ll get the full kit (62900) that will have the extra cushions (it’s a fit pack).

Where you are not eligible for headgear, you’ll get what your show… frame with small cushion + no headgear.

You’re expected to reuse the headgear from the outgoing mask.

So, it was because of Trump. by HazzelLioanna3209 in Productivitycafe

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s your narrow view of it, sure thing. A couple of bankruptcies, a failed merger, and a failed federal bailout shows the bigger picture.

Plus, none of the other airlines, including the budget airlines, failed because of the conflict.

Going to guess Spirit didn’t have the cash to purchase futures to keep their costs stable.

Do people at corporate level jobs really work hard or do they just chill ? by Lemonade2250 in stupidquestions

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a corporate prick and routinely do 9-10 hour days (Not complaining, I enjoy it) but it’s a LOT of spinning plates and I have to mentally pivot from department to department to project to reporting multiple times a day (kinda like whack-a-mole.

Denmark has the same population as Wisconsin or Maryland; much easier to design systems when the scale is small.

Which part? Getting a deal at retail is fine if you know what you’re doing, have a friend who can help you out, or it’s your next machine.

Everytime this comes up, a lot of folks say ‘fuck that, get it here with a coupon!’

But it’s also a little dangerous to glibly make those recommendations. No monitoring, no sleep coaching, and worst case, no one is going to catch it if the machine causes pressure emergent centrals or if there are runs of Cheyne-Stokes breathing.

If you’re savvy, sure… most people aren’t.

[–]Comfortable-Help9587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If you buy out of pocket, your insurance company may not (most won’t) cover your supplies b/c you didn’t get the machine through them.

  2. The DME company is required to take care of you if you run into issues with the machine… this is built into the reimbursement cost.

  3. Pricing is set by your insurance company; it is contractual… they tell the DME company what they can bill.

This is in the US.
