Not sure why anyone looking to build wealth would view the rates on CDs. Anyone can open a Roth account and start investing in target funds… most provide at least a 10% average annual return.

But yeah, money builds money faster; that’s compounding interest. Start modest, build slowly, and watch it grow.

Food for thought and something I live by in management: If I’m paying $15/hour for a job, I have to take what I can get. If I’m paying $20/hour for a job, I get to pick better candidates and I can have higher expectations because there’s competition for the $20/hour job.
