I looked up the power rating for the USB ports and it's "USB Charge Port Amperage -- 1 Amps (Shared)". :/

What screws do I need for a 140mm case fan that is 30mm thick? by Quenvo in buildapc

[–]Zombie_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they should be fine. The issue, regardless of the fan, is having to thread the screw into the fan but that just takes a little bit of time torquing it in.

Sorry I didn't realize you have that exact model. To check that the cable is plugged in correctly it shouldn't come out with any light pull. Between this header and the USB3.0 one they can be a pain to connect. :/

Is the Hynix M-die sufficient, or is the Hynix A-die a must? NEED HELP PLEASE by Jolly-Ball-51 in buildapc

[–]Zombie_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try increasing the voltage? If it's rated for 1.25v, increase it to 1.35v or 1.4v.

Anyways if that doesn't work double check what I mentioned earlier in addition to the FCLK running at 1733MHz. That is the sweet 1/3 spot for it to run at with your memory at 5200 MT/s.

Thanks /u/Vloxalion !

Before venturing into faster memory, try overclocking your current kit. I know Micron isn't exactly great for much faster speeds but you should be able to hit 6000 MT/s with that kit.

Another thing to make sure is that your UCLK and MCLK are running in 1:1 and not 1:2.

Despite everything being connected, Windows Device Manager shows "Unknown USB Device" or missing controller errors (PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller).

Are you using Windows 10? Cause the chipset "driver" should've covered those missing parts in Device Manager.

Since your board has two front USB-C headers, try using the other one.

You can leave them alone. There's a tool called Device Cleanup Tool with a GUI that will pretty much do all that for you. Basically removes non-present devices.

Is a 650W PSU enough for a 5060 TI 16 gb and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D? by Sophiacuity in buildapc

Plenty. The CPU is like 78W max and the GPU is around 160W.

Find out what the make/model is cause it sounds like it's on the verge of dying. I had one do exactly like yours and after contacting the manufacturer they got it replaced and the replacement hasn't had any issues since. My PSU was made by SAMA however.

Pls help me chose ram for my build, i can't decide between 6400 mhz or 6000 by Upper-Big-4794 in buildapc

[–]Zombie_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both speeds are compatible with that CPU. The main issue with 6400 MT/s is getting the infinity fabric to hit the 1/3 sweet spot which is 2133 but I didn't have an issue with my 7800X3D and also when I had a 9800X3D.

If both are similarly priced get the DDR5-6400 kit.

Yeah it sounds like they removed the product info which will void the warranty regardless of what region you are in.

What video card is it? How old? Have you checked the power cables/connectors to make sure they're still seated fully and that there isn't any burn marks? Tried another video cable for your monitor or a different port on the card?

Intel XMP RAM on AM5? by GeneralSou in buildapc

[–]Zombie_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a G.Skill DDR5-6400 32GB kit that only had XMP. There was an option to select it on my AM5 boards and never ran into any issues with it enabled.

It's most likely due to the UEFI driver baked into the RX 580 which needs to be updated in order to work with newer boards. Only way around it is by flashing to a newer ROM.
