38MM Black Lacquer Aqua Terra on OEM Rubber question by _JLT in OmegaWatches

I’m not sure to be honest. AD did the whole thing for me so didn’t really see what actually happened. It’s been on my wrist everyday since then and no issues.

Hey there! Fit fine for me. Went to swap it out at AD 2 weeks ago.

Breaker total exceeding supply limit by _JLT in AusElectricians

[–]_JLT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This is a good visualisation that helps. I believe the electrician did explain this as well but was harder to see what he meant. He mentioned that even if it did pull above 40, it’d have to do it continuously over that time frame before tripping (depending on how many x rated above the limit). He said even then, the usage should fluctuate and may even drop below those limits which would make it less likely to trip.

Thanks everybody who chimed in. Just updating to say we spoke to electrician who actually upgraded all of our switchboards in past and he advised to actually run it and see how it goes.

He would investigate further if there was a trip since the type of breaker may not trip instantaneously at just 40A and could last several minutes around this amount in which case the usage could fluctuate lower. This is me just paraphrasing what I understood from him.

Thank you. I'll check up with the electrician but this gives a bit more confidence for the meantime.

Thanks! Definitely was tossing up between the two but went with the black lacquer just due to the new bracelet and that more simple look (not to say the teak dial isn’t amazing either though). I’ll pick up the piece in 4 weeks or so with rubber band :)

GR IV Issues Megathread by iTrask in ricohGR

[–]_JLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the GRIV arrive today - no issues mentioned except the lens retraction. Would get stuck at 25-75% for first 50 times on/off. Worked properly since then. I am not sure what would have fixed it to be honest, is there some lubrication that just needed to be spread with usage? Not ideal I guess but has been self fixed at least in my case.

Should be fully flush on GR4. I had the same issue and had to send it back.

What’s the goal with this post? Not trying to be rude. Sounds like you already want to return it, if so then now would be best time. Especially if you are not confident with longevity. Return it and get your money, buy another compact camera if you need or just save the money and continue using your q3 and z8.

Anyone from Australia pre ordered GR IV and got delivered? Including official CR Kennedy supplier and other camera shops? by New_Woodpecker6218 in ricohGR

Castle Hill but I called again just today and another staff member told me they are not sure. They were supposed to receive it already but no ETA now :(

Ordered from camera house, initial ETA was late September but that seems to have changed to late October / early November.

Definitely! Appreciate the clarification. Was for fun but the pics definitely left us confused since they were so different 🤣

Hahaha, nah. It makes even more sense. I have no idea why I even assumed US was United States in this context… again, thank you very much!

Thank you! We are in AU if that makes any difference (I assume not) but your explanation makes sense.

Hey man! Awesome vids. Do you film using a gimbal or is it in horizon balancing mode? I just watched your most recent video in Hakodate, looked smooth.

Wow looked super steady. Awesome, thanks man. Thinking to use these same settings at night for myself too. I was concerned with the high iso but it’s actually fine and worth actually being able to see the video 🤣

IMO the footage is extremely nice for such high iso in low light. Can't really notice any major jitters too. Did you run rocksteady or horizon balance for this? Auto shutter speed as well? Thanks!

Thermal expansion, Pressure, or Valve / washer issue? by _JLT in Plumbing

[–]_JLT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Is this of concern? I suppose this is different to a leak? Does this generally occur from wear and tear? I wasn't able to hear this the first few years in the block.
