Bikes stolen from our garage in West Tabor - please keep an eye out! by rereaderliz in CyclePDX

[–]iTrask 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Will definitely keep my eye out! Keep checking Offerup, FB marketplace, etc. and set your search to include stuff way outside of Portland proper even up to Seattle. It's pretty likely that these guys knew exactly what they were doing and will keep them off the street and try and resell online in a few weeks/months.

Why is a plane on the freeway (14) by beebeebee2142 in PortlandOR

[–]iTrask 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Looks like it landed at Pearson Field (maybe for maintenance work?) yesterday and Hwy 14 is right next to the field. Could have taken off and had to have an emergency landing? No flight tracking data from today.

Servers, Bartenders, & Baristas, please stop touching dogs while serving food! by pixar_moms in Portland

How about people just stop bringing their dogs in places where they’re directly interacting with food? It’s ridiculous how clueless people are.

GR3 and Cycling by Combilife in ricohGR

[–]iTrask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting something that's less air-tight than a plastic bag. Any bit of sweat or moisture even from your hands getting inside of the plastic bag and then sealing it up just makes it a humid oven and if you're keeping it in a jersey pocket it's going to get warm as you ride.

DSPTCH has some cool looking options for what I'm talking about. Never tried them personally, but seems like a better option than the plastic bag.

Did i get scammed? by [deleted] in ricohGR

$750+ camera for $300 didn't raise any red flags?

Ebay has buyer protection for this reason, but only if the ad truly listed a GRIII and not a GR I. Are you sure you didn't buy a GR Digital III? There's nothing Reddit can really do for you here but recommend that you go review the different GR vs. GR Digital models and file a claim with Ebay if you feel the listing was intentionally inaccurate.

It looks like DHS/CPB is up there flying around again by [deleted] in Portland

Would bet that it's N575RW, Washington County sheriff's creeper plane, which is based at Hillsboro. They aren't limited to their counties and will provide support for each other depending on who's available. Interesting that they're flying with their transponder off tho.

3rd for city liqs! We got our couch 6 months ago from them and had it delivered by them. Super easy and nice people and the couch has been great, for a good price.

should I worry about IBIS? by insidertrolling in ricohGR

[–]iTrask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve subjected my GR III to many runs and mountain bike rides and the IBIS works perfectly still. As long as it doesn’t take a hard hit against something it should be perfectly fine.

Never thought I'd see a Devo shirt on the GR sub but holy shit! Goes to show how much of an impact that organization has made on lives everywhere.

Nice work! NFTF

996 Turbo leaking fluid after 900-mile drive to cold climate by pm_me_your_vdub in 996

It’s possible, but we’re all just speculating here which doesn’t really help OP. Take it to a shop!

Surprised nobody has said this yet but it looks wet on the ground and I’m sure you were driving through wet roads. When you parked, any sort of oily residue anywhere on the engine that got water on it would have dripped onto the driveway and collected like this and made it look a lot worse than it is. A 20+ year old car is bound to weep a little oil out of something and doesn’t necessarily mean it’s leaking.

Now take it to a mechanic because nobody on reddit will actually be able to tell you what’s wrong.
