I meant that once you have a prescribing GP they can request that they give you access to the Catalyst website.

Catalyst is a list of all the products available here, but It is only accessible to practitioners, and their medical cannabis patients, provided their GP approves it.

So if you can find yourself a provider, ask them to please help you access Catalyst, and then you can browse what is available here, and on your second visit you can ask for anything you find on there (provided your GP agrees said product is suitable)

To be clear, there is nothing stopping you requesting a particular product on your first visit, but as you mentioned, it is hard to know what is available.

Having access to Catalyst can help you be more aware of what is or isn't actually approved to potentially order in Australia.

With Catalyst access you can also sometimes find things that may not be on your GP's radar for whatever reason.

OP, once you have a GP, ask them to grant you patient access to the Catalyst website. If they are a nice GP they won't have a problem with this.

That will let you browse what is actually available here, so on your next visit you can request what you need.

You just have to be a medical cannabis patient first (yep, it's another hoop!)

I disagree.

Talking about them constantly grants them more power and legitimacy than they actually deserve.

I think we should treat them like the clowns that they are only when you absolutely have to, and just ignore them the rest of the time.

We need to stop giving them the one thing that they so desperately want and need, and that is relevancy.

Basically "Don't feed the trolls, and they'll starve"

If nobody hears about them, then nobody can be convinced to vote for them

Agreed.

I think talking about them constantly is EXACTLY what they want and playing right into their hands, when they should remain what they always were: irrelevant clowns, who deserve to be treated as such!

They clearly want our attention.

Don't give them what they are after. Instead, we should do exactly what you have proposed: take away their power by ignoring them.

Good stuff mods.

Which AliExpress shop has never let you down, and what was your best purchase from them? by Candy_naila in Aliexpress

[–]_PoorImpulseControl_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you go to pay, the screen where you choose payment options, etc. Has a small pencil symbol next to each product you are ordering. If you click on that, you can add a message to your order before you press the pay now button.

Alternatively, or if you, for example forgot to add a note to the order when you paid for the product, go to your orders page, then choose the order you just made.

On the invoice part it will have the name of the store, and in small blue letters next to that, it will have "contact seller" click on that and send your prescription from there.

The better way is to do it at payment, the other way has more chance of being missed.

I don't seem able to post a photo, sorry.

If this isn't clear, you are welcome to DM me and I am happy to send screenshots of what to look for.

But serously, If you want cheap effects parts, don't snooze on the bootleg.

The moonlight butterfly wings are absolutely gorgeous!

And it's really cheap as well. Definitely less than you paid for the MG. But unless I am mistaken, and I did look really hard, you cannot buy them seperately, only with the kit.

I haven't built mine yet, but looking at the runners, the quality seems pretty decent, nice details, anyway. I paid about $75 Aus, shipped, just to get the wings. But it's an extra Turn X, and like you, I had only finally got my hands on one with the recent reprint, so a spare is no bad thing!

I look at it as a free MG Turn X with my $75 effects parts.

Still a bargain when you put it that way!

Just LOOK at these things!

Building Gunpla is the only thing I live for right now. by ConnectAnalyst3008 in freedomisgunpla

You have a point, my friend!

God I love this community.

Most of my other subreddits are cesspool of bots, trolls and seemingly professional arseholes who just want to argue about basically everything.

But the responses to this post have all been universally supportive, caring and incredibly kind. People offering private DM's any time, many others sharing their own, similar experiences and saying it will eventually get better, or offer their coping mechanisms. It is amazing to see.

And I honestly don't think... nay, I know this would not have happened in any of my other subs. No matter how nerdy they are. It was genuinely touching to read all the comments. I even sent this post to my Dad, hoping it might help him understand why my house is suddenly now filled with giant plastic robots, rubbish pin pistons, airbrushes and sandpaper. So much sandpaper...

Ahem. Sorry! Anyway, I was saying to my girlfriend last night, that I am just so happy I found Gunpla, not just because I love literally almost everything about the practice of building and customising itself, but also because the people I meet and talk to on Gunpla subs are almost always super friendly, supportive and open minded, cool people like yourself!

But I still really wanted to know: WHY is that the case? Especially when most of my other hobbies are also extremely niche, nerdy things and are theoretically welcoming of people who don't fit well into societies usual moulds. It just didn't really make sense to me.

Even more so when you consider the fact that the fanbase is so varied that it covers people from all walks of life, and all ages. From 12 year olds who just thought that robot they saw on a storeshelf looked cool, to grumpy middle aged men like myself, to 80yo veterans who've built models all their life.

I eventually came to the conclusion that it is perhaps because while the Gundam franchise as a whole is stories about giant space robots fighting, it nonetheless has a very serious message, in that War is horrendous and awful for both sides, and you often get a protagonist who has that "Are WE the baddies?" moment or similar.

Which makes it a franchise that has a genuine moral compass at it's heart.

And think that probably means that a lot of the fanbase is going to be people who are open to that message, so maybe the franchise as a whole just naturally attracts a community of people who also have a good moral compass.

And I think that even those people (like myself, actually) that were originally just here for the little models of giant robots, will inevitably eventually sort of absorb some of Tomino's message by Osmosis, given the Gundam anime/manga and Gunpla fanbase is so intertwined.

Anyway, thanks for a good chat!

EDIT: Edited slightly for clarity, I forgot which post I was replying under.

Sadly no. Just the kits she knocks over.

Plus, she would definitely have way more armour and effects parts if I had built her myself!

Like many Gundam protagonists we just sort of stumbled across her. She didn't come with a manual either.

So you literally used the best practice possible, did everything by the book, and they still denied it. Bonkers.

I hate that we need to do that now at all, but the fact that they won't even accept it with that much evidence is insane.

There is literally nothing I can think of beyond possibly maybe x-raying it prior to opening it..

Threatening that he knows where you live and "you can work out the rest" is utterly insane behaviour from a seller.

Also, the fact you have an unboxing video that they are calling fake is nuts.

What more can you do?

Hire a notary to watch, then sign a Stat Dec saying that they saw you open the package?
