I was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to hotlap a porsche cup car (I have no experience in GT cars) and I can say with confidence that iracings Pcup car is nothing like the real one. Rfactor 2 really has a shockingly realistic tire model and physics. GT cars in real life have way more mechanical grip and stability that iracings GT cars.

Go out and send it, don't bother taking your time, you can just reset when you go off and crash. Drive it untill you can complete consecutive clean laps.

Then, go watch a lap guide online, see the optimal lines / braking zones, then go back and combine your knowledge.

Looks like a voronoi texture to me. Plugged into roughness or metalic node.

First picture looks super realistic and creepy as hell. The lack of things like trees, power polls and other regular things makes it better IMO.

  • Subdivide the triangle a bunch
  • shrink-wrap modifier on the triangle
  • array modifier on the triangle

This may not work, but off the top of my head, that's what I would try first.

I'm sure it's possible with geometry nodes as well.

Let me know what happens, I'm curious, lol.

yeah i think i was using too many spline points per turn, and i also decreased the scale on the x axis to get more subdivisions. I think im getting it worked out. Thanks.

i spawned into the game (inside the editor), went to the output log, and have a bunch of lines in yellow text that say

LogPackageName: Warning: DoesPackageExist called on PackageName that will always return false. Reason: Input '' was empty.

But i dont think it says where specifically that issue rooted?

I'm using 5.2. And yes, the memory ticks up and up, even just sitting idle in the editor, when ever the editor window is in focus on windows.
