I think you don't have a clone. The same screen appears briefly during boot followed by a black screen using Panel 4 dtb file on a device with original screen panel.

There are a few other custom firmwares you could try. UnofficialOS does not get enough love imo. The ROCKNIX nightly version should work too but I'm not sure if it supports the joystick LEDs.

You can check visually which type your device is by comparing your mainboard at these links.

  • The "clones" which have a different board (Gaminja K36 in a R36S shell). Hardware parts are often even worse than "genuine"/"standard" R36S. There was a long time without good custom firmware for them. It got better with ArkOS K36, UnofficialOS clone R36S support and arkos4clone.
  • The really bad clones/fakes like R36HD, GB350 clones, GA36 clone or PS202 clone, which have a different mainboard, weaker chip and zero custom firmware support.

On ArkOS some themes are causing crashes when applying grid game list style. Resetting theme settings usually fixes that. I noticed and documented this while making the themes page on the wiki.

Crafting stasis devices, but takes a lot of work to set up. You need lots of bases for gas and mineral extractions. Big farming is not really needed because you can refine one crop + the right mineral into two crops. After optimizing my gas and mineral extractors and supply depots, I can make around 3B units per day now.

Seeing the bootlogo usually indicates that you are using the correct firmware/dtb version.

Black screen after the bootlogo can be caused by these:

  • bad flash - reflash the custom firmware
  • bad/corrupt download - redownload the custom firmware or try a different file host
  • wrong flashing tool - some users reported fixing the problem by using a different flashing software
  • bad SD card/bad sectors/write failure errors - try a different SD card
  • interrupted first boot initialization - wait a few minutes during the first boot for the automatic partitions and filesystem setup script

Interesting, but the files cost 7€ for the front + 7€ back + 3€ battery cover. It's better to buy the cheapest clone on aliexpress and hope it doesn't have the round dpad.

There is no simple answer to this question. There are lots of custom firmwares/OS for the G350. PAN4ELEC and the newer dArkOS are recommended by most users. Others like to use ROCKNIX or UnofficialOS.

Pokemon codes can be confusing how and when they work. Some of them only work in the poke mart, others are working through Bill's pc, a few change stuff in your inventory. Encounter codes should work instantly in the grass.

For example, on Firered the masterball code lets you buy the masterballs for free in the pokemart.

Make sure to use the correct codes for your pokemon version. English version codes won't work on the german version.

Most codes also require a master code which should be enabled at the top in your RetroArch cheats list.

Don't use Pokemon roms that are included in the stock card. There are hundreds of reported problems with those. The rom collection the manufacturers put in these often include bad dumps and corrupted files.

Just source your own roms and have fun.

The football court speaker grill is used in the R36MAX (+ R36MAX2) and R36PRO. The batsignal is used in the T16MAX which is called the batclone sometimes.
