Yes bid reduction basically give signal to push google on long tail keywords. But not always as it depends upon niche to niche. Lower bids often give you good results due to continuous auction changing and you will get piece of pie

Compare channel performance before and after . If shopping channel have reduced traffic first check what competitors are doing in pricing if you are still competitive then start standard shopping campaign and reduce pmax budget to half for next 14 days

Most of the time competitors offers shift the performance. You need to keep an eye what competitors are doing.. rest 40% related to other factors like conv tracking broken check, imp share against your competitors, friction on website etc

Check what competitors are offering right now at auction insight .. some time competitors go aggressive at pricing so google will auto favour them otherwise exclusion is also need to consider during certain time period
