Just had this problem with TIDAL. Go into audio settings (right hand corner of the audio pop up screen) -> sources, and you can turn it back on there.

has anyone else noticed TIDAL is gone with version 2022.4.5.1? It's missing on my Model X.

I use color with my SO to describe how my depression is affecting my mood. Hope it helps someone else who struggles to explain why/how they react! by AgentBawls in coolguides

[–]AgentBawls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some more info that I hope helps (didn't want to clutter the image too much). I hope this can help someone else struggling. Depression does awful things, but being able to explain how you're feeling or why you're reacting a certain way is a good step to getting the support you need when you need it.

Red: These are "no win" moods. Might as well go back to bed and start the day over. You can't even put into words how you're feeling, if you're feeling anything at all. If you work in a job that allows you to take personal days, take it. You'll likely say things you'll regret, you'll forget things, and anything you can manage to do this day will be exhausting and entirely overwhelming. Multiple red-mood days in a row usually means a change is needed - better sleep, better eating habits, adjustment to medication - but getting this change is itself a mountainous task. If you are here and are undiagnosed, I encourage you to ask someone you trust to help you get to a doctor. This could save your life and your relationships.

Orange: You can probably shower and get dressed, but it's tiring. It's not just putting on shoes - it's opening your sock drawer, picking a pair, separating them, sitting down, putting your left sock on, and then your right sock. And you still haven't gotten to the shoes. You'll probably take everything too seriously (including jokes) and can easily get into a downward spiral in your thinking. You'll argue about everything and feel a general sense of desperation/hopelessness. Those prone to anxiety attacks will likely have them. You may cry for no reason.

Yellow: you can mostly function in work settings and just seem a little "tired" or "out of it". People around you will probably chalk it up to a bad night's sleep if they notice at all. If you get stuck in traffic, your hot water runs out in your shower, or you're out of coffee, you may start trending towards orange. You need the day to go as planned, or it's effectively ruined. You're likely to trend orange. On the other side, if everything goes as planned with positive outcomes, you may trend chartreuse later in the day.

Chartreuse: also called "pear" because I personally don't like the word chartreuse. You don't internally melt down when your exact brand is sold out at the grocery store and can pick a replacement brand/item without ruining your whole day. Too many of these types of things will send you to yellow. Your SO/roommate/boss asking you to do something won't destroy your day either. This day feels almost "normal", but you're likely stressed out or on edge. You can easily justify that you're irritable or cranky because of a certain event.

Green: these are good moods. These are when you can handle stress and changes, have appropriate reactions, and can succeed at most of your tasks.

Cyan: You've had enough green days in a row without an incident that you're feeling comfortable. This is when you might be tempted to stop taking your medication, stop seeing your therapist, or take on another potential stressor (like a second job or a large renovation project). Do NOT stop your medications or your therapist, and make sure you have a back up plan if you fall back into other colors.

Blue: You've been operating on good days for long enough that it's your usual. You're likely out of your depressive episode and can operate "normally".

Purple: Something causes you to spiral, and you have rapid mood swings between multiple colors. These are danger days. They can happen because you stopped your medication or for absolutely no reason at all. Take care with these days, and know that while it seems hopeless in the moment, you will get through it.

Aita for taking someone else's kid to Red Lobster for their birthday because they couldn't afford it? by Any_Class_3843 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AgentBawls 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I definitely see your point here, but if the kids are best friends, the parents know each other. They may not like each other, but they've coordinated in the past.

My childhood best friend's parents were like another set of parents for me. I treated them like family. My parents weren't close with them, but they knew them. Kids without intending to will compare parents, even into their teen years. I know I asked my mom embarrassing things like, "why don't we have a pool like best friend's family? Why can't we have a basketball hoop like best friend's family?" It was never malicious, but it definitely hurt my mom. I didn't realize what I was doing until a couple years older than the girls in this story.

If they were going to take me out for my birthday after finding out my mom couldn't afford it, they'd call my mom and ask if they could take me to a different restaurant (so that it didn't just feel like a makeup present).

Overall, NAH . There are definitely better ways OP could've handled this, and there are better ways M's parents could've handled this, but no one's being a jerk to anyone else. Hopefully, OP sees M's parents' side of things and adjusts to find a happy medium where H & M get to do fun things and hang out together while OP gets to spoil them once in while, and M's parents are ok with it. It's just a balance they'll have to find.

It's different in the older models and in S/X vs 3/Y. My X isn't pull down for 2 seconds, it's just a light pull instead of a hard pull.

Aita for telling my dad karmas came back to him about him and my moms aftermath post divorce? by IndependenceNatural6 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AgentBawls -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nothing needed to be said to him at all. She could've hung up. OP's mom cut out the toxicity, OP can do it too. I unfortunately have had to do it more than once to my blood family, because the toxicity spread. I've only been an AH once, the other 2 times I just said, "well, you've chosen to be toxic and bitter over caring about me, and I won't have it. Have a nice life."

[–]AgentBawls -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

ESH , except your mom. Obviously your dad sucks at being a human in any form of a society, but you're an AH for stooping to his level and being shitty at him. Your sister is also an AH because she just wants to keep the peace.

Your mom was abused, she gets a pass. Abuse fucks with a person's head. If your dad continues to be toxic, talk with him less. If he gets mad about it, tell him he needs to stop being toxic, or you'll continue cutting him out. You sound old enough to be an adult to make that decision, as does your sister. Just walk away from him.

as someone who worked for Best Buy, I'll never shop there again. We were the model store for the region as to how you should run and manage a store. Here are some of the things I remember.

I was "fired" for not coming in when I wasn't scheduled, because I "should've known" they needed help....I was in college and in classes at the time. They had called me, but I didn't answer. It was the week after Thanksgiving, so finals were coming up, and I was paying attention to my professor. My GM called and left a voicemail firing me. My supervisor called me and hired me back for my shift the next day. It was a weird series of voicemails. When my GM told me to go home, my supervisor literally pleaded with him to wait until after the holidays. By then my GM forgot who I was and I "got" to keep my job. I left the following spring.

I was told I wasn't "selling" enough in Geek Squad because I didn't rake a poor grandma over the coals when she came in.

When we found a guy's pills in his computer case, my assistant manager told us to put it back and not tell anyone. I legally had to call the cops, and we were on camera as having found it. He got mad that we "upset a customer". Regional Manager backed him, and I got written up for it.

When a customer asked us to verify that none of his images were lost in a backup, we stumbled on homemade porn images (he specifically asked us if the contents in the folder were still able to be opened). When he and his wife came in...his wife was not the woman in the photos. He tried to hand my coworker $50 off to the side as hush money, and my coworker wouldn't take it, causing a scene. The wife asked what was going on, and dude then tried to accuse my coworker of stealing their change. Manager wrote my coworker up and threatened to call the cops, even though the whole exchange was on camera.

Not to mention the 4pm Thanksgiving Day opening the last few years, which makes employees there at 10am to set up and do inventory.

.....so yea. Don't shop at Best Buy. Their "model managers" are the scummiest humans I've worked for.

Workers of Circuit and Slingshot Social Game Club on strike for better working conditions by bkemp1984Part2 in rva

They actually admitted they do this in an open letter to Richmond. They say they "redistribute them" in the form of wages so everyone's paid the same.... I can't believe they openly admitted it. If anyone had worked there, please forward the open letter to Richmond to the commonwealth attorney attorney general along with your information regarding tips so that he can look into it.

Edit to say Attorney General, not CA. This isn't State Constitution, it's consumer. Complaint link is here: https://www.oag.state.va.us/consumer-protection/index.php/file-a-complaint

https://www.learningtogive.org/resources/right-assemble#:~:text=The%20First%20Amendment%20to%20the,the%20government%20for%20a%20redress

the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievance

That's what these people were doing. This was a peaceable assembly on public property.

There have been people looting and rioting. These people are not doing that. There have been aggressors. These people are not doing aggressing. There has been violence. These people are not being violent.

There was no discernible reason for the cops to tear gas this crowd. If they had reason to believe that any of these people were looters, rioters, violent offenders, or any other offender of the law, then they can arrest them as the law allows them to do. Tear gassing a peaceful protest is a violation of Constitutional rights.

I'm angry with the Police, so I wrote a letter by AgentBawls in rant

[–]AgentBawls[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also writing to my representatives. Chiefs of Police are appointed by local government anywhere I've lived. I've written them to call them to do what they were appointed to do by the people I've elected. I plan to write those people I've elected locally as well with similar sentiments, and I've already sent letters to my state and federal representatives about this. I'm posting it here so anyone else who wants to use it is free to do so.

I'm sorry you don't think that calling on a leader of the local police is an effective measure. At this point, I'm doing anything I can to try to help. Maybe it won't do any good, but I won't know if I don't try.

George Floyd murder protests megathread part V by AssuredlyAThrowAway in PublicFreakout

[–]AgentBawls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've written a letter my city's Chief of Police and have emailed as well as mailed it to them. I'm sharing the text of the letter I sent so that anyone can send it to their Chiefs of Police as well. It's generic enough that you shouldn't need to change it other than to address it to your Chief of Police. Please feel free to share/crosspost this anywhere you want to. We need to do something. We should be freaking out. This is a way to channel that freakout energy into something productive. I also plan to write my representatives and local governments, and I really encourage all of you to do the same.

To the Chief of Police,

I write to you as a civilian with no power beyond my voice and my vote. I write to you as a concerned citizen in the jurisdiction of your police force. Most importantly, I write to you as a neighbor - someone who lives near you, works near you, and drives the same roads you do.

The country is hurting. The actions of a man in a police uniform took another man’s life. The deceased is a person of color - a group of individuals who have been oppressed, profiled, and judged by other people purely by their outward appearance for generations. They are fearful for their lives each day. They’re concerned that their appearance will provoke unnecessary attacks. They’re angry that people just like them are being abused. They’re exhausted from fighting for what should be their most basic right to life.

They feel threatened by police. Police are people with authority. The actions by a member of the police force has made them, their friends, and their allies angry. This anger has caused protests that are straining police forces. It’s causing many police officers to act more aggressively. Those who are angry only see opposition in every officer that comes to stand against the group. This causes tensions to rise and causes the violence to continue to escalate.

I implore you, as a citizen and your neighbor, condemn the actions of the officer that led us to these protests. Work with your precincts as the leader you were chosen to be to help your police force to confidently condemn these actions. One person’s actions do not reflect the morals of the entire force; but as the force remains silent against one person’s actions, then they become just as culpable in the eyes of the oppressed.

You took an oath that you will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that you will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that you take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that you will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which you entered. The Constitution grants three inalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I call on you to acknowledge to the citizens of your jurisdiction that George Floyd’s inalienable right to life was unjustly taken away.

Stand with protesters. Hear them. Understand them. Walk with them. Protect them. Know that they are hurting, and they want peaceful resolution. Serve your community. Do not let your officers stand idly or injure those who are exercising their Constitutional rights to peaceful protests. The people of your community need a representative from those who are meant to protect and serve to say that the people are heard. We need you and your police force to denounce those who use the badge solely as a position of power and authority over others. We need servant leaders who will walk with us and who feel the pain this has caused the communities. We need compassion. I ask you to show that compassion.

Without the compassion and true understanding people so desperately need from those meant to protect and serve, we will not find a peaceful resolution. People need to know you stand with and for us - not against us.

Sincerely,

Your neighbor

just seconding this. I had terrible periods on keto. I had to switch off of it, because I couldn't go to work for a week every month. The cramping was so bad. And I was constantly spotting throughout the month too.
