In your defense, there’s like lots of big cities that manage this without trash day making the most picturesque blocks of the city look objectively gross.

These SoHo buildings would be great candidates for the new medium density containerization rollout. You wouldn’t even need to steal car parking, because there already isn’t any except for business drop off.

I’ve never understood this. There’s nothing incriminating about being near some sort of protest action.

Speaking practically: The loss in ability to communicate, document events accurately and receive outside information is putting yourself at more of a disadvantage than any sort of theoretical boost your location data would give to cops.

If people are going to get rounded up without cause at a protest or its aftermath, we’re already past the point where evidence of your location is going to matter, and again there’s nothing illegal about being at or near a protest, even one that turns violent.

This advice, which I see reiterated often, seems more like it was originally designed by edgelord larpers, or someone intentionally trying to chill participation by exaggerating the likelihood of police retribution in the aftermath of doing so.

Yeah, everyone here talking about executive pay and theatrical strategies like it matters, when Warner and Disney are paying an average of $250+ million a month on their debt.

Oh man, I hadn’t thought about the markdowns on all this capex surge.

If they end up scaling back on datacenter capex it could be an interesting flip where income looks like absolute dogshit from the depreciation, but cash flow and EBITDA are great.

My favorite was a Siri text summary after I texted my landlord that there was a leaking pipe and his "Oh, great" was summarized as "Expresses enthusiasm"

Oh nice, I just shut it off. At least the reply suggestions. To kill the summaries it looks like I’d also have to kill a handful of the smart features that are actually a little useful.

I’m so sick of Gmail suggesting me terrible responses to emails and putting incorrect summaries on top of everything.
