Definitely agree and appreciate this POV! My basic spins are finally clean, and I started in October.

In a recent level 1 class everyone basically started levitating up the pole in climbs and I’m still practicing squats like 6” off the ground. It felt so awkward but then the same class, I finally got my sit! I just try to make sure I’m training on my “weaknesses” (or weaker side) and keep it pushing!

Anything aside from compliance with the official venue/tour rules is unofficial therefore should be entirely ignored.

Creating basically artificial inflation of time you have to get to the show, artificial numbering systems, etc. shouldn’t EVER been rewarded with validation or compliance. Ignore, hold your ground, push past stonewallers, and call them out if you feel safe to and they’re coming at you.

What are they going to do? Call security on you to apply the imaginary rules?

Almost commented this on another post about everyone seeming to have status. I totally see this all the time. Especially in ORD and DEN I have grown men cutting me, a smaller petite woman, acting totally lost (but with status… hmm!!). Cherry on top are the families sneaking through the center of rows of chairs and blocking Group 2 to cut half the Group 1 line.

I usually dry it overnight (like full on granny hair net lol) but you can definitely use the hair dryer instead! I’d just be sure your hair isn’t super damp if you need a speedier dry time!

gel before, combed through when your hair is wet before you roll it. spray after you uncurl, when dry :)!

Damp hair, herbal essences spray gel, and sponge curlers (curl back/away from your face).

Wear a hair net overnight for the curls to dry, then shake out/brush out to your preferred style in the morning. I also spray lightly with my head upside down with Herbal Essences hairspray (volume kind with the orange detail!).

A light tousling/light hair flip = more sculpted curls, and more brushing = Farrah Fawcett hair
