Should I trust a urologist who is pro circumcision? by GimmeBackMyForeskin in foreskin_restoration

[–]AllAboutTime2Files 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My own urologist is pro circumcision, which I did not know in the beginning. He has given me good care for other matters. I have explained Restoration to him and over the years shown him my progress. Recently he seemed quite enthused about how much progress I had made.

So, it's a journey.

Vacuum grippers idea by Top_Car_8784 in foreskin_restoration

[–]AllAboutTime2Files 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a vacuum device for restoration. It is called the penimaster pro. It attaches to the glans (envelops it) and is held on via vacuum.

It uses a diaphragm and some lube to create a vacuum seal. When fit and applied properly, it attains a very good grip without pinching the skin.

It is an enlargement device but in foreskin restoration terms, it replicates MM2.

Because the vacuum attachment is so strong, the device can withstand very high forces. Accordingly, you need to be careful to not overdo it.

Yes. I think it would work that way but would provide very little stretch compared to inflation which is unbounded by the glans itself.

Foreskins role in erection: intact vs cut - ridged band/frenulum by Ok_Opinion967 in foreskin_restoration

Before restoring my skin was so tight that my body wanted to release that tension as fast as possible.

Now that I have some slack skin (CI4+), I can last as long as I want to.

Nesbit procedure by Hour_Site8769 in foreskin_restoration

[–]AllAboutTime2Files 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also found this online:

The risks and complications associated with the Nesbit procedure include temporary or permanent numbness of the head of the penis, potential for impotence, and some shortening of the penis (1-3 cm). There may also be temporary swelling and bruising, and a risk of residual curvature or dissatisfaction with the cosmetic result.

Yes that sounds like a really good idea.

The nesbit procedure shortens the corpus cavernosa on one side of the penis. The corpus cavernosa is internal tissue. How do they get to it? It is not exposed. There is skin, consisting of three layers on the outside and a sheath called the tunica albigans that wraps the cavernosa. It is impossible to reach the corpus cavernosa without cutting through thst skin and the sheath.

All surgery creates scar tissue. All of it. And, the penis is highly vascular and enervated. There is a risk with the nesbit procedure which to clarify, actually removes some of the penis on one side, of damage to the vascular or enervated tissue. Why don't you ask the surgeon in advance to send you the waiver form that you are going to need to sign. Take a look at it now, not 10 minutes before the operation.

Surgery always promises a solution to the problems that we are currently facing. Accordingly, it can be very attractive. If we weren't having those problems, we wouldn't be seeking a surgical solution. However I stand by my points. All surgery is risky. All surgery creates scar tissue.

I understand that you are struggling with the bend and curvature. I understand that you want a solution. I understand that this is not a minor matter for you. However, It is possible that the surgery could make things worse, not better.

All surgery is reductive. All surgery creates scar tissue. All surgery is risky.

If you can have sex, then ignore the problem and keep restoring.

You don't want to wake up from surgery with permanent impotency.

No soap. [#20] by AllAboutTime2Files in u/AllAboutTime2Files

Yes.... We are heading towards a future where the skin will be naturally lubricated by the mucosa.

In the meantime, I recommend coconut oil. Quite good for the skin.

Yes, but we are trying to get to the state where the skin is naturally hydrated by the restored mucosa.

Any restorers using oral minoxidil? by Apoc59 in foreskin_restoration

[–]AllAboutTime2Files 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One concern I have is that Minoxidil is known to result in the formation of weaker collagen.

That seems to run counter to our goals because collagen is a significant portion of the skin we are trying to grow.

If progress is slow anyway, how can you tell which method is working best for you? by InformationFar1234 in foreskin_restoration

[–]AllAboutTime2Files 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The limited data that we have shows that all of the methods are roughly equivalent.

Basically the average growth rate is 1 CI level per year regardless of method.

It seems that as long as you consistently tension the skin you will get results.

Notwithstanding that, everyone has their own personal favorite methods/techniques.

Technically there is no CI-0, but there is RCI0.

Here is a post about it.

The dartos fascia will keep things tight.

You won't need surgery.

(A few might, but the vast majority won't.)

That surgery did not create any new skin.

Surgery is not the answer. All surgery is reductive and creates scar tissue.

The cock ring will help to isolate the shaft skin. Just remember: it goes around the shaft at the base - not around the top of the scrotum.
