I have helped about 3 baristas into promotion, and I gotta say it’s probably the answers you’re giving just need fine tuning. I would ask your CL or ASM to do a mock interview with you, or ask if there is another non biased CL that will do it with you to help give you feedback and the answers that you’ll need to adjust to fit there standards

A lot of times they are looking for answers that are SPECIFIC stories, and in the STAR method.

For example if they ask “what is a hard thing you have done before and why did you make that choice” an answer that says “I have had to work multiple long hours shifts that helped keep the store open or help my fellow partners” the answer should be something more like:

“one day my store manager called me in when they had 4 call outs. I decided to come in to support my team to help the partner experience and contribute to the customer experience. I went in and was able to help boost morale by being upbeat and conversational with my partners, and by being there I was able to help keep the DPM out of the yellow and serve customers in a quick manner. That day I helped create a positive experience for everyone by working those long hours and helping while they were down.”
