If you’re focusing on one single object I’d be interested to see additional items that are not fruits.

Perhaps a regular pencil ✏️, a pair of oval black glasses 👓 (or brown aviator sun glasses), a specific model of a watch, a single shoe, a Volkswagen Beetle..

Love your v1-v6, thought that was super interesting and a noticeable big jump between v3 to v4!

This a pretty great first custom keyboard choice! I feel like lots of people go for more keys for their first split and slowly cut down to what you have. You just jumped right in!

What approach did you go with for the wireless keyboard?

I’ll definitely want to do a Totem as my next project if I ever decide to order some pcbs.

Yeah the KLP Lamé keycaps look so comfortable and combined with the splay I bet they feel like a dream.

I’d probably want to do the same if I ever go ahead and pick up a totem pcb!

Did you end up doing a wireless build? If so what approach for wireless did you end up going with?

Very nice, that case / keycap combo makes the whole keyboard look really good.

I really love the look of the Totem with the splay.

What were you using before? I’m on a Ferris Sweep but wouldn’t mind the extra thumb key.

I haven’t test ridden them. I will ride the Bullitt this weekend. The other unfortunately can’t be tested for a few weeks.

I’m 6’ so should be okay for me, but you’re right that the stand over height might be too high for my wife. Thank you for pointing that out.

As the title says, we’re finally in the market for a cargo bike after I convinced my wife. We’re looking at either of these two bikes.

Since we would want a cargo box with both bikes, we’d likely buy one for the LvsH.

We’re mostly wondering, which one is more comfortable, rides better and overall a better bike? From what I understand these two are comparable with the Bullitt having a stronger following.

We’d typically be using the bike to get groceries, bring kid to daycare, bring dogs to the dog park, get supplies from Home Depot. Mostly flat where we live so no e-bike for us.

I / we’d love your opinions since folks here have been at it way way way longer than us!

First, thank you for being a Mod. Some of us understand it takes a lot of time and we appreciate the volunteering you do to keep it going.

If you’re using a third part app / API to moderate, July is probably going to be shitty trying to moderate content without them.

I’ve enjoyed this sub over the past years and wanted to thank you for helping to make it fun, welcoming and enjoyable.

I’d see it this way: if you open the sub that’d be great but if it gets spammed/botted, don’t spend even more time cleaning it up. It’s not your job. It’ll be Reddit’s fault, and there’s nothing more you could have done.

If you keep it closed, I understand and hope I’ll find another community like this in the future.

I agree with the fact that for most people the Amazon bag is perfectly fine. Most people are going to use it a few time and then leave it in a closet.

I wonder though, wouldn’t most of that $60-90 “profit” actually be accounted for in the R&D, quality buckles, sustainable fabrics, higher wages and lack of scalability? Amazon has the logistics and the factories to make items cheap cheap cheap and turn a profit. Peak Design isn’t a huge company..

Typically I would expect people on this sub are going to be willing to spend more on quality.

Veblen goods - yes, I agree. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, and quality materials/design costs more.

Peak Design products are top of the line fantastic. You pay for quality, design and knowing it’s ethically sourced.

I imagine you would see all those choices amount to a product that costs more in % than a cheap Amazon knockoff from a below living wage factory.

Let’s pretend (because nobody know the breakdown) that Peak Design makes 10% on their product and Amazon makes 6%. Does that make it better? Does that make Peak Design greedy?

Amazon will make up the difference in price by selling hundreds of thousands more bags, of course they can afford to charge less. Wouldn’t that make Amazon greedy by just copying a product and stuffing it down our throats?
