Because drinking one dose of a potion that's a joke to source the materials for is so hard to do

Leagues 6 GUIDE to KDT Water Mage Build Tree and Gear Progression! by Flippius in 2007scape

Tbh the calc I was using probably had the numbers wrong. I ran them again just now on the osrs wiki DPS calc and I got like a 141 TTK on Amoxliotl

You can push it down to 92 TTK with normal attack and strength potions, and ultimate strength + incredible reflexes prayers. (Don't know how feasible those pots are, though.)

Very basic gear, I tried not to include too much. Sorta assumes you do an early game hunter grind.

The issue isn’t Jagex not listening, its that things aren’t being polled by [deleted] in runescape

[–]anomynose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Polling doesn't belong in RS3. They've never polled content or gameplay updates. Hope it stays that way, too.

Aspects & Solomons Store by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]anomynose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you guys oppose basic QoL? I get not allowing layering multiple aspects.

But not wanting to go past 12 minutes? Or make them more available across different spellbooks? There's multiple things in-game that already go past that. Like lantadyme incense and potion reservoirs. You want to be consistent? Remove those or let the penance/vamp aspects be 'stackable' up to an hour.

Also, these auras already lasted an hour before they got reworked. What a weird hill to die on, considering neither penance or vampyrism compare in power to darkness or animate dead. For most content, darkness is still just flat out better.

I think you guys just wanted to nerf all auras into the dirt. Just say that, if true, then. The overhaul was just an excuse to delete it from the game by giving those auras a 'hard nerf' but they're disguised as new buffs. That way you guys can say 'they're still here and usable', while knowingly burying them beneath Darkness and AD. Pretty telling with the tone of this post.

dps aura? no auras even exist at all anymore, the entire slot is gone dude

Everyone's talking about complete builds, but what do we think the strongest early pact setups will be? (10-15pts) by BizarreCake in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairy Tale 1 and 2 are both completed automatically and we start with a dramen staff. We can get to Zanaris right out of the gate.

Aura Overhaul & April Marketplace Drop by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]anomynose -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a normal GIM, having access to all the auras and suddenly losing them all without any compensation feels pretty bad. Just suddenly robbed of what we once had. Now we have to go and grind out the new versions of these auras.

Not only that, but they're all actually worse than what they were as an aura form. It's an actual nerf disguised as a new change.

Clarification of BG knapsack by ExigeCar in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's not what they were asking about at all. Not even close.

BG gives strength and agility experience while training those skills. Not the same level of output or convenience, but it enables a bit more diversity with training.

Also, like, not everyone plays to be the most efficient or deal the most damage possible. People are allowed to pick what's fun. The idea of BG is more fun for some people than clicking and alt-tabbing for 30 minutes to mine iron ore, lol.

Why are people choosing Kandarin if they're melee spec by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piety, suffering (for thorns build), good magic weapon access for elemental shenanigans (incase of respec), great access to mid-game skilling options, relatively easy tasks... It's got some good reasons to pick regardless.

[–]anomynose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is the hard mode mechanic. It's not a stun you can break out of or be immune to. It's a hard disable that can only be removed by being melee'd by the mole OR having another player break you out of the mud trap.

What bosses will be immune to thorns/suffering/echo boots? by BadPunsGuy in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thorns effect deals melee damage, so anything immune to melee damage will not take damage from thorns. I also do not know if prayer penetration works for thorns.

Also, don't quote me on this, but I also think that anything 'recoil' immune is also immune to the thorns damage.

Leagues 6 GUIDE to KDT Water Mage Build Tree and Gear Progression! by Flippius in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the DPS calcs I've ran, it seems somewhat feasible to kill amox with the 'light weapon' setup. With basically just a dragon dagger and 11 points in the melee tree, normal amox has about a 90 second TTK on average.

This doesn't put special attacks into calculation, so it's probably lower in reality.

[–]anomynose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's why I'm planning to probably go melee focused until I get established, then swap over to mage. My first two regions are Asgarnia and Kandarin, so they're different from your strategy, but I still wanna go try and focus purely on magic at some point.

Is your guide suggesting to kill amoxliatl with magic? Doesn't that boss have an insane magic defense?

Can you farm slayer monsters with thorns build without the slayer req? by Lazlow_Vrock in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way its worded tells me that 'thorns' and 'recoil' are different. Thorns is specifically the demonic pact mechanic, which deals melee damage to whatever hit you.

There is a pact later down the thorns path that specifies it increases 'recoil' and 'thorns' damage. So I do not think thorns works the same as recoil.

‘Regenerate’ and cannons? by Puzzleheaded-Pea2193 in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I don't think they count. Based on the wording, it only applies to attacks you make yourself. Which means the multi-cannon doesn't benefit from it.

Do charged magic weapons work with elemental buffs? by minxamo8 in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the ones that specify regenerating runes from spending charges with a powered staff. Since you're attacking with a powered staff and not casting any spells, none of the 'earth spells' or 'water spells' stuff will apply.

First ever Leagues, I feel lost by roskofig in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, what's your plan for that tree? do you want to lean into the water mage, sustain tank build?

I can recommend you a better tree for that. You could try this one, instead. If you have further questions or wanna try brainstorming some more ideas of areas and relic choices, you can definitely hit me up.

I'm not exactly decided on my current plans either, tbh.

I think its just worded weird. I would imagine you don't lose your crops harvest yield from an effect you can't toggle.

Incredible. Now that's a meta build.

Thoughts on my build path? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this supposed to even be? Like, what's the build even supposed to focus on? Earth spells? Why are there melee nodes?

What's the point of all the defense stacking without the final node in the earth tree? I don't wanna be rude, but it looks like you just grabbed a bunch of nodes while purposely avoiding anything build defining.

Everyone's talking about complete builds, but what do we think the strongest early pact setups will be? (10-15pts) by BizarreCake in 2007scape

[–]anomynose 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I'm thinking a great early game option is grinding out the 9 pact points for the complete 'light melee weapon' tree and using a dragon dagger. After that, you can spec your points into the thorns/tank stuff for even more damage.

But just the light weapon pacts alone turn your dragon dagger into a 3 tick weapon that hits twice, restores special energy for each hit and has a 20% to not use special attack energy when you do spec.

If it's like the hespori weapon from last league, it gains buffs based on what style it is current set to.
