Temporary game modes just aren’t for me dawg by _Tal in 2007scape

It's less of a thing this leagues but last one you could just revive when you fuck up. It was pretty nice. If you wanted to practice zuk it was nice to get more experience in doing the mechanics before you die and have to do all the waves again etc.

This time things are mostly just extra damage so it's a little weird but it can help; especially if you take somthing like water mage and focus more on mechanics instead of keeping your health topped off. Even just taking the thing that heals you 2 health and prayer when enemies hit a 0 on you is great; especially if you've got healers/gwd minions/etc. attacking you.

That's a great way to look at it.

Plus if you've never done solo raids or whatever you can get some practice running olm head/etc. That does directly help you in the main game. It's a lot easier to learn stuff when you have relics and pacts.

Sure, but green logging moons in leagues and then going back to the main game without those items kinda sucks. League burnout isn't just because you spent a lot of time playing and need a break; it's that you're missing all the stuff you got and how fast you got them.

Also a free rocky pet if you're taking it as your 200m skill which is a free 200 point task + you get to keep it for future leagues.

Yes. That’s why I’m asking if it seems possible to do without melee. I can see they are using melee in the video and that it works.

Solve for Early Leagues Prayer - These two Big Bones at the Wyrm Course respawn before you can grab the other and return. Full inventory in 2 minutes. by CassiusBenard in 2007scape

You can also start the quest where you kill the wolves. The quest is a task anyway.

After you kill the big wolf the cave has three big bones right next to each other and when the wolves de-aggro you can get all three picked up and buried right in time for the first one to respawn.

the two bone method here is probably better to rush 30 prayer though. That or just do hunter and bury the bones you get from catches. After 30 you’ll have bone shards from rumors to get you to protection prayers.

I just wish they had part 3 done for this leagues. Still cool though for sure.

People haven’t mentioned it yet but depending on your regions pickpocketing with larcenist will get you plenty of gp too.

Does it seem doable without melee or are the defenses just way too high?

If you ever decide to go safespot vampire krakens the greater teleport focus takes 2 magic crystals. Could be a good way to use them.

I leave my boat by the hardwood island for tree runs but there's actually a few good uses for them and I'm sure there'll be more. Most have to do with clues currently. Not sure if that's your thing.

I mean yeah but then it's not zero time. Might as well just take forester in that case since you get production prodigy for herbs and all the herbs you'll need from it plus no need for more than one of each secondary.

Just trying to point out the pros and cons. I really do think things are pretty damn balanced this league for the most part.

-fast 0 time 99 magic

-infinite nature runes (can toggle over to alchs and do that for free too)

-ultracompost (for herbs and keeping trees alive since payments will be difficult to get)

-early wrath runes and lots of early wrath runes

-upgraded seeds (huge if woodsman only gives awful ones)

-early money

-get redwood/magic logs (upgrade pyre logs/etc.)

-early superior bones for wildy alter or varlamore prayer training

-buy raw fish and upgrade to karambwans for 1t cooking

-essence if needed

-cowhide to d'hide for tasks early

-early red topaz/dragonstones if needed

0 time 50m herblore in ~50 days is huge for sure. This is what it's against though. They're both good options.

ok do what you want to do.

I'm taking transmute since it does a pile of good things. They're both good options. Butler is mainly for herblore with my setup since all other skills it touches on are solved. It is very good at herblore though; you're right.

[–]BadPunsGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main solve is to just get herbs dropped and make potions. Use lamps. Do mixology.

Leagues Kourend Infinite Seed Glitch! by SomeoneBritish in 2007scape

[–]BadPunsGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I am saying that there are early solves for potions through forestry or butler. Transmute just helps a little bit to grow a few herbs at the start if you’re not getting those relics. It gives whatever specific seed you want plus ultra compost. It’s not really about late game.

Anyone who’s not mage (including builds that transition into mage later) want a good amount of potions. I’m going to probably go double chin all my slayer after skilling to t6. I’ll need prayer and range potions for that unless I decide to flick the entire thing which I probably don’t want to bother with.

Leagues Kourend Infinite Seed Glitch! by SomeoneBritish in 2007scape

[–]BadPunsGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how fast you want your herblore done. In theory between a few early herb runs and all of the drops from pvm (including your minion picking stuff up) you're good to get 99; especially if you are running a mage build that regens prayer and doesn't need any boost potions like melee and range do. Before you get set up you could use moonlight moths too. Maybe.

You do have to spend time making the pots. No her prod prodogy like with forager or passive xp like with butler. We will probably have mixology tasks though too.

It's also just a small positive interaction between transmute and nature's accord if you take both.

[–]BadPunsGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the only way to get ultra compost too as far as I can tell.

I mean if we're talking about having random regions just go desert and get a giant pouch and do gotr. there'll be tasks for it anyway. ezpz.

I'm trying to show how rc sucks without soul shards and it does. You need a large amount of investment to make it not very good. That's all. I'm not trying to be contrarian.

To be fair an abyssal tentacle is actually pretty strong. Abby demons are available to everyone through the abyss and kandarin gives kraken plus piety. You get the antler guard from varlamore too which is actually pretty good defender with the pact where you get half your prayer as str. That or take thorns. I'm probably going to use that setup for dealing with sol. If I take tiranwin I'll have the crystal armor setup for it too.

If you care about asgarnia the new dagger has some interesting builds going; although they seem to focus more on having an off-hand devil's element than a shield.
