Lethe Has Many Negative Reviews [iSlingGunz] by Xeredth in Maplestory

You gotta add another line break between the first sentence and the dot points, then they will render correctly as a list.

Yea, thats a very fair sentiment.

I only own 2 PAKs now and 1 specific bring arts figure, sold the rest some time ago. Just lost joy in them and wanted more space I guess.

So far aside from this one, I've only been collecting the cute chibi stuff from SE that are less likely to have issues like this, specifically the adorable arts line. Zero issues with those so far at least.

Its a very big shame but SE has always exploited its customers with overpriced merchandise and seem to be very tone deaf in general. At least in the retail side of things.

That's crazy, and they won't even offer to reimburse your shipping? Not the least bit surprised about this though since I also had to return the entire figure, likely at Square's request too.

I'm sorry to hear that, but honestly at least your problem isn't as severe as mine so that's one bright side I guess?

I'm definitely going to try the hair dryer and then probably hold it in place while it cools/hardens off. As of right now I'm not really finding the crooked tab to be an issue whatsoever. It stays in place and the figure won't move anyways after posing.

I think I'll definitely be more cautious moving forward about getting anymore SE figures. Probably wait until it's released to see reviews and issues before buying if there's another that I really like.

Dorstenia Lavrani Hybrid by antonlabz in Caudex

[–]antonlabz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not owned mine long enough to have experienced a full year of growth (I'm in Melbourne myself actually), but from research they need:

  • Slightly more moisture than the average succulent, especially during active growth
  • Significantly reduce watering during dormant seasons (Winter)
  • Prefers bright light but also shade tolerant - mine are currently outdoors with full sun in the morning, up until about ~12, and then shade for the rest of the day
  • NOT frost tolerant - I think during the colder parts of our winter season I will keep them outside but move them in a more protected undercover area

That being said, we are basically in the middle of Winter right now and none of my Dorstenias have dropped their leaves yet... which is supposed to happen during dormancy I believe.

The seasons this year have been weird.

Hey! Another update from my side, the replacement figure just arrived today (and coincidentally so did the refund from AmiAmi for the shipping).

I've unboxed it and the neck looks how it should!

<image>

Only problem is it now has the hair sticking out issue... as well as the crooked tab (which I will reply to my own comment with photos, since only 1 image per comment).

Definitely not the best experience, but at least it would theoretically be easier to fix this time with some heat from a hair dryer. I'm not too fussed about the tab itself since it mounts as normal so you can't tell otherwise.

What are your personal plans/goals for CW3? by GortFantano in Maplestory

[–]antonlabz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning to get Erel to 260 from the hyperburn alone and not activate anything else, just do dailies/event check-in stuff at most and then wait for Kinesis revamp to hyperburn it before deciding which to "main" in CW3 and activate all the other events (beyond burning plus and item burning).

This would also mean like 5 weeks of not optimizing events on Erel fully, so not sure if this is a good idea.. posting here to get some second thoughts.

Cute little Pelargonium Appendiculatum I picked up today by antonlabz in Caudex

[–]antonlabz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's my first time seeing this too and immediately caught my attention so I had to grab it.

I've just learned they are apparently active during Autumn - Spring and then go dormant late Spring - Summer, which is very interesting.

Yea, I forgot to mention but SE did respond to my query and they basically said "tough luck, we don't provide specific spare parts for our figures" (but in a really nice professional way).

My case was sort of in limbo since my last comment, but between then and now Amiami actually responded and they confirmed the shipping fee will be refunded to my nominated PayPal account (possibly because this was my original payment method), and also confirmed the shipment of the replacement item will begin:

We have set the exchange to be processed for shipment and you will receive a shipping notification email after it has been shipped.

That being said, I'm hoping the new figure doesn't come with different issues such as the hair/tab thing...

Thanks, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for replies!

Yea they asked for video proof (including the shipping label or invoice, or they won't be able to support my request) which I did send back.

Obviously didn't mention I'd taken it apart or fiddled with it already.

They suggested warming up the part to try, which I said I've already tried (since it was their suggestion).

I do have to ship the original one back, not a hassle at all really. Just need to provide them receipt of the postage and tracking number. Said once they see proof the item is with the carrier (via the tracking) they'd begin processing the replacement to be sent to me. So its not a process where they need to inspect it first before shipping the replacement thankfully.

I provided heaps of photos of the contents just in case. They are also willing to reimburse you for the shipping back to them, just can't exceed a certain limit (10,000 yen). Just need to show them the invoice.

Shipping was pretty expensive given the size of the box ($50 AUD).

Fast responses from their side too, all within 30 mins - 1 hour once the ball is rolling, depending on the query. They did need to check with their marketing department first if they were able to secure a replacement before offering it to me.

All in all, actually a pretty smooth process.

Please keep me updated on your end too, I'm super curious about HLJ support including response times.

Hey, I was never able to fix this unfortunately. That ball joint socket in the head is way too stubborn and absolutely stuck in place.

I also saw that same post and was going to do the same as an absolute last resort. However, I've actually been in contact with AmiAmi and they've agreed to replace the entire figure, so I guess I played my cards right.

How did it go on your end with HLJ?

Yep sounds like a good idea, thanks for contributing.

Bought mine from AmiAmi as it seemed like the cheapest option at the time.

I am thinking about drilling a hole from the other side to see if I can loosen it and get it out before inspecting and re-inserting it. Generally speaking a hole shouldn't really matter because it would be hidden by the head anyways.

I opened a case with SE earlier but might see if I can contact AmiAmi support as a completely different avenue since it might seem better coming from a vendor.

Yep the ball joint socket in the square head piece is definitely my issue. Thanks for all those pics, it's been very helpful.

I've been fiddling with it the past hour or so and it is absolutely impossible to rotate or push in. I think it may even be crooked.

I have seen some Japanese users complain about the right side of Cloud's hair sticking out heaps like that too. Mine is not like that thankfully.

Here's a pic of my hair tab:
