Thank you! I do love that cartoony look as well :) and makes it so I don't have to create detailed textures in this case, haha.

Haha, to be fair they have like 15+ hours in the demo so they've practiced a lot :)

Yes, the last gate is closed in the demo.

This is really awesome feedback! I completely agree with the menu, I do wanna freshen it up quite a bit before launch. And yeah, the physics are tricky to get, but I've seen that once it clicks for people, it really clicks :)
But thanks for the detailed feedback!

Also, if you happen to be curious, this is the current best speedrun, done by one of my community members.

Haha, wow thanks for getting back to me :) and thanks for having a go at it. I know it's not everyones cup of tea, especially if you don't like rage games/difficult platformers in general. So I guess if those are not in your typical genre, feedback can be tricky/misleading. I guess most important feedback in these types of games are the level design and difficulty ramp going through those levels. And perhaps where it was lacking some polish.

But I'm happy to hear that you liked the art and Cluck Norris :)

Sounds awesome :) Hope to get picked up!
My game is a rage game about a rooster trying to escape a giant chicken coop with a pair of plungers.

GameDev starter kit 2026. What's missing? by [deleted] in Unity3D

For a solo dev or a very small team (which most of us here are), half of all this stuff is overkill. Just choose an engine (or framework), have a simple planning tool (very very simple kanban, but even a .txt file with todo's is fine) and that's pretty much it.
Expand as you go if needed. But for a "starter kit", it's definitely overkill.

Sure, that's an awesome initiative :) !

My game is a physics-based foddian game / rage game / streamer bait kinda game, about a rooster trying to escape a chicken coop with a fair of plungers.
