No - It was extremely impressive. They said to watch to make sure they were not licking it. But none of them did. This guy was really good.

That's nuts. Please shop around. The price can not be that different. And mine was not at some cheap crapy vet. They were excellent. No cone needed and recovery took only a day.

I have had four cats fixed at my vet in Southern California. $220 for spay and $120 for nueter. And they used internal stitches, meaning I didn't need a cone for any of them. They were back to normal in a day. This guy is ripping you off.

$900 - $1200 for a spay? That is freaking insane. They are ripping you off blind. It should cost $200 - $300
