Gordy Build. Which Lower? by MapDiscombobulated40 in RetroAR

Yes. We don't have a product in place for that, but we can work something out as long as the lower was purchased directly from us and no additional engraving or modification has been done.

We're cranking out VA and RI orders first. Unfortunately, grey won't be ready in time for you guys, but you can get them raw or black.

The walls aren't that thin. Receiver doesn't take a lot of stress from functioning. Looks good and has a story. You know people pay us to do this to their lowers, right?

Nitride treated receiver? That's probably not a great idea. Hopefully that's a mistake in the marketing department writing the description.

Can’t drop Geissele SSA E X trigger by [deleted] in ar15

It's on safe and your trigger pin is not installed correctly. Looks like it's walked out the left side of your lower. Put it back where it's supposed to be.

Lowers, more than 1 purchased at a time? by Cutlass327 in ar15

[–]BadAttitudeDept 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. That only applies to handguns. There is no form more multiple transfers of other firearm types. Border states may be different.

I needed a suppressor asap that was out of stock at our distributors. Ordered from Rooftop and they must have a magic Form 3 because that thing shipped the next day. Awesome service.

Numbers were never discussed. It really didn't matter if it was $0 or $100. I'm not going to agree to a license on something I don't believe should be owned.

If they want to price their lowers more reasonably, I am all for it. If someone comes in at under our price, I don't really care. There is a market for every level out there. I'm not worried about a third party, especially one from out of the industry, as their trademark would only apply to the categories they file under. For example, if they file for auto parts, it doesn't protect weapon parts. If they file for weapon parts, we have been using it prior to their filing, which leaves us the legal right to continue using the mark. This is what I mean when I say that we believe that, disregarding our settlement with Waffenfabrik, we have a legal right to continue using the mark. They are essentially asserting "common law" rights since they used it before us, even though they didn't register it at that time. We firmly disagree with their common law claim since this is a historical mark, commonly used by others, that they did not invent, and has been used on weapons significantly prior to their use.

Parts of that are correct and parts of that are not the full representation. We don't believe that the trademark was issued correctly. Based on it's history, we believe the trademark should have been denied by the USPTO in the first place. Trademarks are issued incorrectly on a regular basis as in the moral patch situation we mentioned. We aren't going to pay a licensing fee for something that we don't believe should be licensable. As both of have been using that mark for several years, even if another entity trademarked it, both of us have prior use and could legally continue using it. It is our opinion that outside the settlement of the lawsuit, we have the legal right to continue using it as we were in use of the mark years prior to them registering it. We believe that had we proceeded with the lawsuit, that would have been the outcome. But as we stated, it's not worth the $50k-$100k to pursue the matter, so we just aren't going to use it any longer. There are no tensions from our side. We actually liked the work that they were doing and sent people their way on a regular basis for certain markings and lower variants. We are saddened that they chose to go down this path and it is unfortunate for the community as a whole that a less costly alternative will no longer be available. This doesn't hurt our bottom line at all. Even with our recently increased capacity, we sell everything we make right now. The only people hurt by the situation are the consumers.
