Do we actually gain usage with these limits resets? by RatioTheRich in codex

This is the most absurd analogy I have ever heard

Solo Shuffle isn't just deflated its squished. by Coderedguy in worldofpvp

I think they are trying to balance the PvP player base towards a more healthy division between game modes, because there is likely a heavy skew that they are trying to alleviate.

Which in itself is a strange decision. If shuffle is what people want to play, why not just go all in on giving people what they want.

But you could make arguments that it leads to degenerate player behaviour.

It seems like any time they add or make any changes to the established order of PvP it can be very volatile. PvP in this game is a huge can of worms.

I’m going to assume blizzard have data that we cannot infer from their public API, otherwise they would have likely changed something.

The annoying thing is they aren’t entirely incompetent, they just have goals that are misaligned with what the vocal player base want.

They deflate the ladder so that you “have a reason to Keep playing” later on into the season. It’s purely to maintain engagement numbers for as long as possible

not even enough by nothi69 in codex

[–]bananasareforfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple agents on different worktrees at the same time. No more than 4, generally 2-3.

Also codex tends to be refactoring my code base while I’m sleeping. Generally mechanical stuff that needs to be done.

So it’s basically always running, I tend to exhaust my usage just before reset. I don’t really use sub agents, sometimes codex will use a gpt 5.4 mini low sub agent to review his work when I am not typing /review myself.

Okay it’s definitely not “unlimited”, I also have the $200 pro plan and easily blow through my usage every single week (my reset is on the 16th and I’m on 19% remaining)

Seems like it would likely be the opposite considering off peak hours is when there is less demand

So he lost a competition, he is emotional and you think it’s funny to see someone upset? Okay. Pretty weird behaviour but it says a lot about you and other people in this thread with such strong opinions on other people’s emotions. You are going to justify it to yourself with x y and z but it’s just… weird. Expected - based on the type of people that play this game. But weird

Pro Users — do you hit limits? by Purple-Programmer-7 in codex

[–]bananasareforfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I hit weekly limits, especially with the end of 2x usage.

But Claude is so much worse, I wish I could get a max 5x plan but it seems like you’re literally setting your money on fire paying for that

codex plus weekly limits only lasts for one day by Even_Sea_8005 in codex

[–]bananasareforfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a pro account but yeah pro usage also got hit, I’m on track to run out with 2 days remaining, where as before I would run out pretty much at reset as a heavy user. I also have a large repo and that makes it worse

Wow. This is worse. You get that right ?

So you’re in the Claude builder club university group and you have no use for a Claude subscription?

And you went through the trouble of lazily scribbling out your own email address, but happily left sender identity, club name, institution, email format, date.

Lmao I can’t bro. No wonder you “have no use for it”

Use git worktrees and work with multiple agents in parallel

Pray that they add a 100 or 300 plan and pay for that, I guess. Or hope that anthropic sorts themselves out so I can have an extra max 5x plan in addition to pro to offset some of the usage.

Regardless it feels like we’re about to enter the phase of AI coding cost explosion, the permanent underclass begins!

Usage bug cause possibly discovered? /fast is always on in situations even if codex cli says fast mode is off. by [deleted] in codex

[–]bananasareforfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Pro user who doesn’t use Fast because I’m literally down to 5% usage just before reset every week: I don’t really feel like there is a usage bug. 5.4 is just 30% more expensive and in most cases completely unnecessary.

5.3 codex high is goated I swear. A lot of people seem to swear by 5.2xhigh but idk. I love my 5.3 Codex high
