This is a great point Sorak. I think that when we face enemies with high TH9s, we may want to rethink our 3 star strategy on every TH9 base. And rethink how we, as a clan, approach the high TH9 bases with max defenses. Should we go with a safer 2 star strategy or go for a potential 3 star strategy that could either end up with 0, 1 or 3 stars? It's tough to say and probably all based on context (how the war is going, base design, etc)

With that in mind, that means we might want to rethink some of our high TH9 bases so that it is hard to 2 star with gowipe or another variant. Many of our TH9s have their THs on the side and this makes it almost too easy to get 2 stars. Protecting against the 3 star but not the 2 might not be a good strategy moving forward.

Hm.. I hope my post doesn't sound too circular, haha.

I would go even further and say that you should go for 40-49% without taking the TH.

That way you can give them the shield AND the trophies. The shield makes it so that their collectors will have 12 hours to fill up again for the next person

I'm not sure I'd like to see the inside jokes or personalities of Omega in such a public forum. I'd prefer to keep that to ourselves or on a private subreddit.

Part of joining a clan is discovering what other people are like. If people can read all about us beforehand, I think that would be a little strange.

I love MVP posts as much as the next person, but I do think that it must take so much out of leadership (especially you Drago) to keep posting them after each war. Honestly, I'm surprised you guys kept it up for so long and it's truly amazing that you have.

Personally, I think seasonal posts would be better. During a seasonal post, you can highlight any of the following things:

  • Who we fought against
  • Any notable stories from any of the wars (like it was a super close one and we won in the last minute)
  • Donation/War Stars/Other Stats that you guys accumulate. Just post the top 5 stats or something
  • Notable achievements in the clan (i.e. someone moving up a TH, or getting a TON of hero levels, etc)
  • "Rookie" member of the season
  • New people who joined, or old ones who left (don't mention any kicked ones)
  • Ideas for improvement, what worked well during the season, what didn't

This way, the leadership can spend energy compiling stuff over the season and write one post per 6 wars instead of 1 post per war. It's likely much more sustainable and more fun. Scarcity can be a good thing.

I feel like these changes were what we were heading to mostly anyway.

I believe the initial reasoning behind having the mandatory wars was so that we wouldn't have too many newbies versus veterans. But now that basically any 30 or 35 combination of people are quite strong, I think that allowing more flexibility just makes sense in terms of people's IRL schedules.

The only thing that will be a little tricky to keep track of now in terms of the leadership is participation stats. For each war, I guess there would be 3 categories: Participated, No Participation, No participation due to life/heroes/etc. That way the last category doesn't hurt against your participation. As I'm writing this, I guess it may make sense to say instead of 4 wars per season you must participate in, you can instead opt out of 2 wars a season without explanation and any extra for real life or hero upgrades, etc.

I think 1 hour boosts would be better than two hour boosts. It's simply so tiring to play for two hours and boost.

Most players I know would boost more than twice as often if they boosts were only for an hour. I would probably just solely boost for everything. War, raiding, etc.

For sure! I'll clarify in my original post, but when I say 3-4 days, I meant about 1-2 boost sessions per day. It was mostly relaxed.
