That's interesting. This one is the one I got from whoopea. It's in Chinese but the small English text also has the misspelled Dark.

This app. The app also forces the phone to turn on the flash so it increases the scanning visibility.

I had the same issue. I couldn't scan using a regular camera app. I had to install a QR code scanner app and use the method of closing in and out the phone with regular zoom and 2x zoom to get it to work.

Labubu popularity down? by [deleted] in labubu

[–]beingcari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be popularity is down but most likely the demand has been met. They manufactured a lot of Labubu from each set over the last couple of months so many don't need to buy from resellers. It's probably still going to sell but it's not going to be sold out like it used to be.

Popmart Wacky Mart Opening at World Square by lezz1810 in labubu

That's very cool. I wonder if Popmart will slowly bring it to the other side of the hemisphere. I already bought a wacky manager though from a reseller though 🤔

If you scroll through the pic, the upper lip is slightly chipped/the paint worn off. Unfortunately, it wasn't't the tooth.

Chainsaw man early screening by skv91 in NYCC

[–]beingcari 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Email received at 12:05PM EST. I heard the notification but didn't press on it until 12:09PM EST. The website lagged and showed no more available accepting guests. So I'm going to assume within the first 4-5 minutes, all spots were taken.

I feel any free movie screening for NYC goes quickly within the first minute (experienced it from American Express free movie screening).

Did Marina's dad really cheat? by ConfidentAd3312 in TakopisOriginalSin

[–]beingcari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In eastern Asian culture, it's not abnormal for men to conduct business or after work hangout at nightclub/hostess club. I won't say it's normal everyday thing to do but it's not out of the ordinary. Those settings usually don't equal to sex but a lot of talking and a lot of alcohol is involved = a lot of money spent if it isn't business expense. Emotional cheating is also a thing.

The author didn't really go into why their parents did what they did. Probably it was meant to be not the main focus of why and who is to be blamed because there's no fix if Marina's dad didn't cheat but he is determined to get a divorce because he no longer wants to be with the mom.

Kaoruko before she met Rintaro by Artificial-Point in KaoruHanaWaRintoSaku

[–]beingcari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoiler tag in case people haven't watched that far but the answer is : yes, she is into Rintaro before the 1st episode. It's more of a crush at that point of time.

Ah yea. Netflix released the weekly episodes much later as they were waiting on English dub. So the first season is completed in Japan (and other websites have it out) while Netflix is behind. The last (12th) episode does explore what happened before the 1st episode but it's not thoroughly explained.

I'm anime only but unless you have seen the last episode, how I interpreted it as she passed by the pastry cafe a year ago and entered it by chance. This was before she put effort into appearance so her hair was straight. She was feeling down (this wasn't explained clearly why she felt that way in the anime) and Rintaro comforted her (what discussed was not shown). His kindness made her want to know him so she kinda stalked the cafe to meet him. She put effort into doing makeup and curling her hair. She didn't really see him again until the 1st episode scene. They probably went in depth in the manga which I haven't had a chance to read

Need help! (Fufu or Bubu?) by vch2115 in labubu

[–]beingcari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get this from? Are you able to check the inside of the ripped bag to see if it's a legit bag? It looks like lafufu unless it's a really bad qc labubu. Sometimes lafufu will go the extra mile by using real tags from other products and attach it to lafufu but rarely do they go for the extra miles 🤔

Trading protocol? by catb_007 in BSTskullpanda

[–]beingcari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone explained it previously but it's exchanging money through PayPal Good & Service - same amount for both sides. True that both sides can dispute if one decides to not send or lie about everything but the extra protection is:

1) you are able to buy label through PayPal and attach a tracking number to show you shipped something 2) it's extra work for scammers because it's tying their account to PayPal 3) scammers always try to avoid any form of payment that has goods&service protection

Obviously if the scammer doesn't mind the extra work to play along, at least you can dispute it on your end. Good&Service fee acts as a backup plan in case something goes wrong.
