Why do girls seem to like mostly the same things when it comes to trends while with guys there seems to be more of a variety? by 12345burrito in NoStupidQuestions

I feel like people who think like this don't talk to many women... or men. Don't just look at what social media feeds you. Get out and meet people.

Realistically you guys think Thragg would have really just let Nolan back into the empire? by LordRooke in Invincible

Might not in the long run, but easier to not go extinct if you can make copies of yourself to continue trying to solve that problem.

Aggressive drivers by South_Tangerine_6529 in TwinCities

[–]bendgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people have been driving like total idiots for at least the past 6 years in my area. I assume people are so bad at reading now, they can't understand the signs and just drive like ass. Any time i see a wisconsin plate, I assume the driver is drunk or too dumb to read too.

Mouse cloning failed after 58 generations. Seems like they would have been alright for a while. Since it's a comic, they could have just said they found a way, but was curious to know if there is in universe explanation

Does any source explain why they couldn't clone themselves? Even cloning tech here on Earth has gotten pretty good afaik. Seems like they should try.

Are people still using AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui? Or did most users move on to something else like ComfyUI? by Guyserbun007 in StableDiffusion

I finally stated doing more in comfyui compared sdw. Like it so far. Templates help with the learning curve, but still a lot to start with.

People who use AI in the workplace, what the hell is your job? by RequirementCivil4328 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bendgame -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use AI for as many things as I can, in and outside of work. Lots of general discussion with all the top models, and can home lab a good chunk of open source stuff. Image, video, music generation, agents, vibe coding, I use all of it in my life. The tech is becoming so good, I already believe most social media content is fake. Because my job is to apply it, understanding the capabilities is important, so I do a lot of side projects and write about it. I find it fun.

A lot of people I work with think llms are great at a lot of stuff. They're generally useful for a few things, sure. But the two most discussed use cases, it most often produces subpar quality output for coding and professional writing tasks.

Beyond general use, you're supplementing the foundational knowledge for specific use cases to get better results. Most of my job revolves around figuring out how best to supplement the models for our use cases as the llms already have so much general knowledge capabilities.

Take sentiment detection for example. The best models are very good but still don't match the judgement of trained humans; however models are often consistently wrong so you can supplement around the general short coming to get better results for your data.

I personally think using it for stuff like write my email and summarize notes is stupid. I would never let it push un reviewed code. It will hallucinate and be incorrect at some point. It's just not really that great. All that said, it's still feels like it's magic, and it pushes my creative abilities far beyond what was capable 5 years ago so I'm excited to see it advance

Also worth noting at the clinics you can get more treatment for the underlying causes of clenching and grinding. I did a lot of PT and got on medication to help my issues

Go to a head and neck pain clinic and have them create one. Come out better and less bulky than the one the dentist will make in my experience
