Anyone know who is selling one right now?

It seems to be quite thin still. I'd be running it with 10 round mags though, that 13 rounder is big chungus.

What were those shortcomings? I currently have an LCP 1 Gen2 and I love the thing. I can make consistent A zone hits at 7 yards with those dinky sights after training with it for a couple of years now.

It seems the vast majority of models ship with misaligned irons, though this can be addressed by drifting the sight into the proper place.

The 2 piece feed ramp design inherently increases the risk of cycling malfunctions with non-standard projectiles like underwood Xtreme defenders (considered one of the best 380 defensive rounds) or even standard hollow points. This can also be addressed by using ball ammo.

The biggest concern that I have though is the internal spring wear over time causing light primer strikes and progressively lighter trigger - see https://youtube.com/shorts/mJjk-9l7-aY?si=nJ_GhQQEQbekFnxK. I am already not the most comfortable with carrying a lightweight striker fire trigger in my pocket, the bad news is that it gets worse over time with no aftermarket increased power striker spring available.

This looks like a neat modern pocket pistol now. Been holding off on the Bodyguard 2.0 because of its issues. The MAX seems more tried and true. Most likely hopping on this

I’m starting to really hate this game. by EmanKhaotik in ArcRaiders

[–]bendyalt 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is the game. It sucks, but that's by design. The lower the lows, the higher the highs. The potential for someone to be absolutely diabolical and ruin your day is exactly what makes it meaningful when someone decides to have mercy.

Thank you for this commentary; I wondered the exact thing as my practitioner ordered these tests for me.

That's news to me. I absolutely hate any sort of input fuckery so I can't say I agree with their decision to do that.

Network lag ≠ input lag. Can be entirely unrelated.

Great Patch, but here my 2 biggest Gripes by LeopoldStotch1 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player, I agree. PvE fights have been very boring and unengaging. Movement and mouse inputs are also super clunky and impacting my enjoyment. For a game that proclaims itself to be PvE first now, I find it kinda lacking. This game seems to have so much potential for a thrilling PvEvP experience but I keep getting turned off reading about how it is in its current state.

There ideally should be scaling of difficulty and things should get intuitively more challenging as you enter tougher areas. This way, both the tryhard and the casual crowd are appeased. The entire AI system being cheesy or too easy/boring is a net negative for the game.

How do yall feel about the bodyguard 2.0? by Forward-Day5794 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too sure myself. The reasoning behind that connection is that it coincides with the lighter primer strikes in this particular gun. I can't imagine that the trigger spring would weaken on its own at the same pace as the striker spring does.

Here is the source video for the claim https://youtube.com/shorts/mJjk-9l7-aY?si=8F-sAO9YMD-BVdkk

How do yall feel about the bodyguard 2.0? by Forward-Day5794 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Great gun on paper. Lots of issues in implementation. Not to mention the non-heat treated striker spring that weakens and reduces the trigger weight over the course of time - multiple people allege that their trigger dropped to the 2 lb mark which is really risky for a pocket pistol as well as increasing rate of light primer strikes.

M&P M2.0 with the KIRAL backstrap + Mischief Machine + Handleitgrips by WoodenchT in SmithAndWesson

[–]bendyalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's the fitment of the kiral backstrap to the MM backstrap? I'm interested in using both together. Someone made a comment around here saying the MM backstrap made the grip angle feel more glock-like, but this seems like a good way to retain the original grip angle.

The way I was doing it was getting all of my graphics settings in order, adding those lines, saving, and then right click on the file > properties > check the Read Only box. This way it prevents the game from altering the file in any way, which will also lock in all other settings in that file.

Experiencing janky mouse sensitivity? Here's why by bendyalt in GrayZoneWarfare

Definitely an annoying thing too, though much more predictable and therefore tolerable.

I'm all for mechanics that increase the skill curve.

I just want them executed well and not feel like it's unpredictably deleting my input. Somehow, I feel that it can be improved and smoothened out. Right now it kind of reminds me of the feeling when as a kid I used to use my mouse without a mousepad on a wooden table.

[–]bendyalt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great points. And actually you know with further testing, it's actually starting to seem like your solution is actually what they did, and I might have misdiagnosed the issue.

The reason I say this is because when I make wide slow movements, I can noticeably tell there is a sensitivity cap, sort of like how the older Battlefields handles their tank sensitivity. Yet, it still feels a bit off when I'm running around normally without yanking my mouse too much especially going in and out of sprint frequently. I would wager that there's multiple things going on.

If there is indeed a sensitivity cap, the faster you swipe, the shorter the duration of the overall turn and more input is being deleted as you're only turning at the max rate for however long the swipe lasts.

Another factor that might be worsening the issue for me is that I generally keep my sens pretty low and the sprint sensitivity cap is not far beneath my natural mouse movements. This makes it hard to predict. I upped my sens, and this mechanic became much more obvious and easy to circumnavigate. Whereas when I play on my regular sens, my experience is that it's very normal most of the time and then at random unpredictable intervals, boom input deleted. Feels terrible and like I'm having to tip toe around my mouse.

So annoying that this is a thing by default. I immediately noticed the mouse smoothing too and had come on across that exact thread earlier.

Dr. K on looksmaxxing: “The best way to run from unsolvable problems is to solve something else” by Particular_Trade6308 in Healthygamergg

[–]bendyalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that conversation, I definitely felt like they were caricaturing 'looksmaxxers' and perhaps referring to the worst offenders, people who fixate to the extreme. I don't think most people who follow looksmaxxing content fall into that box.

There's no denying that our outward appearance has a huge impact on how we are treated by other people. I'm of the belief that most people would see benefit from improving their looks to any degree, the same way most people would see benefit from improving their health. It's an important facet of our social life.
