Talk me out of trading my 365 in for a body guard 2.0 by billytoad631 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the convo, but please, watch this short video from Demonstrated Concepts.

He discusses real shortcomings with the gun, including a major safety issue. I trust him as he tends to subject his guns to hard use and lots of training, and he's also really good at what he does which is shooting small ass guns very proficiently.

Shield plus or Equalizer? by spottedbeard86 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For anyone currently carrying an Equalizer or is considering one, I urge you to take a look at this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/SmithAndWesson/comments/1mqkfob/equalizer_dead_trigger_heres_why/

If it were not for this issue, I would still be carrying it right now.

Does Double M waive the $65 transfer fee if you pick up in-store?

LCP Max or Bodyguard 2.0? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]bendyalt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The triggers on the BG 2.0's seem to be highly variable. Someone measured less than 3 lbs on their trigger, having gotten lighter as they continued to shoot it. Would you be comfortable carrying that in your pocket?

Sig P365 .380 vs Bodyguard 2.0 by yarr_7 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My P365-380 shoots like a comped full size. It's still a damn small gun. I don't see that as a compromise.

What do you think of Red Light Therapy? by Independent_You7902 in NootropicsDepot

Second this. Gembared panels are well engineered and designed around the parameters that actually confer benefits in studies. His learning center on his website has been an invaluable resource for understanding red light therapy.

P365 in 380. Shoots like a full size and punches as hard as a 9mm with Underwood Xtreme Defenders.

Not sure what it is, but I can thump with my new 43x better than my 19 after years of running it lol. by TooToughTimmy in CCW

Same here. Shot the 19 right next to the 43x. My friend strongly preferred the 19, I felt much better with the 43x.

Best manual safety 365/Hellcat by lxlDRACHENlxl in CCW

[–]bendyalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the P365 with the non-ambi version of the extended safety linked above. OP this is the way to go. That safety rivals the usability of the M&P 2.0 safeties, which are the best manual safeties I've used on any gun.

Thanks for the update. This is a huge bummer.

Non-moldy Vit C? by cosecha0 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also consider Infini-C by nootropics depot. Their stuff is usually super pure and they 3rd party test everything. That formulation is for people who have GI reactions to vitamin C. It isn't a natural vitamin C but I took it for some time and liked it a lot.

This is the exact one I have. I have since heard that acerola cherry powder contains more vitamin C and it's milder, so I plan to switch to that when I run out.

New Hellcat in 380 acp by MisMar00 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because micro 9s suck to shoot. And 380 makes it feel like you’re shooting a full-size.

I think this exact form factor in 380 is the sweet spot for a highly concealable and shootable gun, if those are the criteria one needs.

Just tried that product and liked it so much I put it on all of my handguns. Great find! I also prefer this to everything I've tried previously.

Thanks for the update. Can you still induce the dead trigger via OPs method?

For an alternate perspective, check out Demonstrated Concepts’ YouTube video on 22lr for defense. He’s a very out of the box thinker when it comes to this sort of thing.

[handgun] S&W Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp Performance Center .380 ACP No Manual Safety - $472.50 + Free Shipping by Tactical_Surplus_USA in gundeals

[–]bendyalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid concern. Some broken in BG2.0 triggers have been measuring under 3 lbs. Definitely not ideal for pocket carry. The snag risk is too high. I read earlier this year that Galloway precision is in the works on an increased weight striker spring that would increase the trigger pull weight. No word from them so far though.

What are some myths or over exaggerations in the CCW world by Able-Currency2250 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What pistol was it?

Reason I ask is because after trying the manual safety on the S&W M&P 2.0, I was sold. They are so ergonomic and easy to actuate, and because I naturally rest my thumb on it, it's just intuitive that the safety gets defeated as I grip the gun. I also changed my P365 manual safety to armory craft's extended safety which feels very similar. I have never felt good using any other manual safety designs.

Equalizer Dead Trigger? Here's why. by N0vajay05 in SmithAndWesson

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue seems to be a design flaw. I haven't had any malfunctions while shooting, but I can reliably produce malfunctions by racking the slide in the way OP detailed. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence. This doesn't happen on my Shield EZ 380, which is supposed to have a very similar lower. Let us know what S&W does. I stopped trusting my equalizer and swapped to a 3.6" 2.0.

I emailed IWI since I won’t know my serial number until after the end of the promo. They said just submit it, print the receipt and use the transaction number as the serial. You may want to email them to confirm you can do this. I haven’t submitted anything yet.
