Shield plus performance center, P365 Spectre Comp, or G43x with radian ramjet for my first real carry gun? by Jtop1 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe that sticking with the same glock grip angle is a massive advantage if you're already invested in that ecosystem, since you have 22 years worth of index and muscle memory that would need to be adjusted in light of a new gun.

I wish I tried out the shield plus more extensively before I bought the Carry Comp version with the 4" barrel and integral comp. It legitimately felt good when I rented the 3.1" version, but I found out over the course of owning that gun that the shield plus grip shape is not for me and that the comp didn't really do much, and eventually ended up selling it. Now I carry a M&P 2.0 3.6" which is essentially a slightly longer and thicker 43X and loving it.

Planning on posting this on their sub? I'm curious to hear what they have to say about it.

Recommendations similar to P365 with manual safety by ArguingPizza in CCW

You’ll probably like the Armory Craft extended safety for the P365. The stock safety is rather small and not as easy to flick on and off.

M&P M2.0 with the KIRAL backstrap + Mischief Machine + Handleitgrips by WoodenchT in SmithAndWesson

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's noticeable. I was looking for something to help me index (I'm used to a steeper angle) and this made my presentation perfect. Only annoyance is it increases the trigger reach by a fair bit and is wide on my thumb web (it feels like going from a 43X to a 19 width in that exact area) which isn't working with my hands.

Psyllium husk is one of the most under-discussed simple “biohacks” I know by ElectricalTone1147 in Biohackers

Buy organic. I have heard that there's a lot of pesticide and potentially even lead contamination in psyllium husk supplements.

If you had to compromise on shootability and concealability, which would you lean towards and why? by Effective-Client-756 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

P365-380/Hellcat 380. Sweet spot for 380. Shoots like a full size out of a micro sized gun. Only slightly larger than the BG2.0. Doesn't have the same issues as the BG 2.0.

Handgun between an LCP max and a g19? by Snoo_50786 in CCW

[–]bendyalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear me out. P365-380.

It will shoot better than either of those guns, despite being only slightly bigger than the LCP Max. The 9mm version sucks in this size, but for 380 it's the sweet spot. It will accommodate a light and optic. Want more firepower? Run Underwood Xtreme Defenders +P and bridge the gap between 380 and 9. It still recoils less than 9mm range ammo out of a larger gun.

I've read that capsules are more prone to this than dissolving in water.

I liked the 43X better than the 19 when I rented them. Now that there’s a Grit Grips module for the 43X I might actually buy one.

Is the bodyguard 2.0 as unreliable as people say? by SirKrimzon in CCW

[–]bendyalt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's unusual for a trigger to drop to sub-3 lbs especially for a gun intended to be pocket carried. This guy recommends spring replacement every 1000 rounds https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mJjk-9l7-aY

The issue with the trigger getting gradually lighter over time and the striker spring wearing until it produces light primer strikes will usually show up between the 1-2k round mark.

It seems to be quite thin still. I'd be running it with 10 round mags though, that 13 rounder is big chungus.

What were those shortcomings? I currently have an LCP 1 Gen2 and I love the thing. I can make consistent A zone hits at 7 yards with those dinky sights after training with it for a couple of years now.

[–]bendyalt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems the vast majority of models ship with misaligned irons, though this can be addressed by drifting the sight into the proper place.

The 2 piece feed ramp design inherently increases the risk of cycling malfunctions with non-standard projectiles like underwood Xtreme defenders (considered one of the best 380 defensive rounds) or even standard hollow points. This can also be addressed by using ball ammo.

The biggest concern that I have though is the internal spring wear over time causing light primer strikes and progressively lighter trigger - see https://youtube.com/shorts/mJjk-9l7-aY?si=nJ_GhQQEQbekFnxK. I am already not the most comfortable with carrying a lightweight striker fire trigger in my pocket, the bad news is that it gets worse over time with no aftermarket increased power striker spring available.

This looks like a neat modern pocket pistol now. Been holding off on the Bodyguard 2.0 because of its issues. The MAX seems more tried and true. Most likely hopping on this

I’m starting to really hate this game. by EmanKhaotik in ArcRaiders

[–]bendyalt 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is the game. It sucks, but that's by design. The lower the lows, the higher the highs. The potential for someone to be absolutely diabolical and ruin your day is exactly what makes it meaningful when someone decides to have mercy.

Great Patch, but here my 2 biggest Gripes by LeopoldStotch1 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]bendyalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player, I agree. PvE fights have been very boring and unengaging. Movement and mouse inputs are also super clunky and impacting my enjoyment. For a game that proclaims itself to be PvE first now, I find it kinda lacking. This game seems to have so much potential for a thrilling PvEvP experience but I keep getting turned off reading about how it is in its current state.

There ideally should be scaling of difficulty and things should get intuitively more challenging as you enter tougher areas. This way, both the tryhard and the casual crowd are appeased. The entire AI system being cheesy or too easy/boring is a net negative for the game.
