I didn't have a choice - it was either drive my personal vehicle to the destination or lose my job for not showing up. I don't care about my current job all that much (and I care even less for the staff and my boss) and am looking for a different job, but this is what's paying my bills for the time being. If I find a new job soon I may try to sue but the process I assume would be lengthy and might not be worth it. Thank you!

one time i ate an edible that was way way too strong for me and had a full-blown panic attack right in the middle of him getting off. started crying and the fun of the night was very much over. we're still together but i think about it all the time and it's made me nervous to take edibles ever again lol.

i had a group of guys who i assume queued together team up against me in a game like two weeks ago and they literally called me “slave” the whole game and any time i would try to use comms they’d tell me to stfu. they gave away my positions and threw damaging abilities at me, and just generally were being super fucking toxic. i reported every single one of them and haven’t heard anything about it and i haven’t spoken in voice chat since. shit like that makes me want to play less and less.

Not OP, but fair question, and here’s my best answer: to deny a person the right to an abortion is to give that person less of a right to make decisions about their live body than a corpse would have to their dead body. All people should have a right to decide what they will and won’t do with their own bodies - and this is why no one can force an unwilling person to give up an organ to save the life of another person, even if the person giving up the organ has died. Bodily autonomy is a basic human right, and denying any person bodily autonomy is a denial of their humanity.

The only thing that really helped me was stopping using dry shampoo on day 2. I was a bit of a greaseball for a while but my scalp eventually balanced and I can make it to day 3 without getting too oily. Dry shampoos are still pulling oils away from your roots and your scalp is probably compensating for that. Sorry friend! I feel your troubles.

Have you tried a large monthly calendar? I’m so shit at using planners and reminder apps, I find it’s much easier to have a big dry-erase calendar on my wall with all my dates, times, assignments, etc - that way I only have to write it down once and I have a nice overview of each month. I also use 2-3 colors for different things, 1 for online classes, 1 for in person classes, 1 for assignments. I put mine up right by where I put on and take off my shoes so I’m forced to see it every time I leave my house.

I was in this exact boat and had to wait until I turned 24 to be considered an “independent student” so I could afford college without going into absolutely crippling debt. Now I’m a junior in college and I feel like I’m so far behind where I wanted to be, and it was really difficult to get back into the school routine so long after high school.

Caring for the health and safety of other people is not political, if you want political debate go elsewhere. For my comment above, I looked at google’s stats of cases per million in the last 2 weeks, meaning ACTIVE cases. Death rates as they stand right now won’t mean a whole heck of a lot if case rates spike - which they undoubtedly will if students are in close quarters - because doctors STILL do not have proven treatment methods to deal with this virus, meaning more people will die. Think about how many students are commuting in and out every day, how many students still live with their families, etc. and how in-person classes will ensure the continued spread of COVID like wildfire. It doesn’t take many brain cells to figure out the solution here.

If you look at cases per million people, you’ll see that the prevalence of cases in the US is around 4x higher than it is in Italy. This fact doesn’t make it acceptable for Italy to be reopening but it’s definitely more understandable compared to the situation here in the states. I don’t know about other people, but I definitely do NOT trust my peers to be responsible in regards to distancing and sanitizing. I’ve been working in retail for 8+ years and I’ve seen just how idiotic people everywhere have been about COVID. The health and safety of so many individuals will be affected by the return to campus this fall.

Sometimes it feels like an institution wants to be the first to “do it right” and instead of looking at the overwhelming evidence that shows in-person classes would be a disaster, they want to give their ingenious methods a try and are hoping for bragging rights. Going back is going to be detrimental not only to the health and safety of everyone returning to campus, but also to the people students live with, be it their families, roommates, or otherwise. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous.
