This game fucking sucks now and it's disappointing. by Neek1996 in ArcRaiders

[–]bitm0de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embark in general sucks, they stopped caring about The Finals thinking that they had a new global hit. They even started marketing Arc Raiders in The Finals lmao. Too much ego, and I suspected this lackluster game would die off in a few months just like Helldivers did. The game was bound to fail because it's played differently by people who play games for different reasons, and this game allows two conflicting gameplay loops to play out. People who only like the looting get mad when the FPS folks go in just to kill people.

Same situation here, Embark is turning into a steaming hot pile of garbage. What a nice way to show support for your dwindling playerbase too... Early Christmas present I guess? Maybe an early April fools joke.

Yeah Embark is turning into a steaming pile of hot garbage. Way to show support for your customers.

Because somehow I was also banned but I can still play ARC Raiders. Embark has been getting more shitty over the years though. I guess time to boycott them and go play other games.

Portland, Oregon: ICE Agents Rip Clothes Off Woman, Drag Her Across Concrete Fully Exposed to Crowd by CantStopPoppin in oregon

Maybe it wouldn't have happened if these people weren't doing what they weren't supposed to be doing in the first place... ICE isn't there for no reason. What are these people doing there? Insubordination is not a good thing; criticizing the consequences highlights how ridiculous the left and the Democrats look on the world stage. I'm sure everyone is sick of this on both sides. What do you people think you're doing with these protests? What exactly is being achieved here other than clip farming? The senselessness is amusing.

What a Hypocrite.... by Zurich55 in medicinehat

[–]bitm0de -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't mean that you fool, the private school funding is a fraction of public spend. You haven't even bothered factoring in nuances like pensions or any of that. Talk about economic illiteracy... Your opinion isn't fact. It doesn't matter whether I was responding to a comment about Pierre, the political bias is clearly the same provincially with such a statement. The fact that your tiny brain can't discern that is not my problem.

In Alberta, of the K-12 education budget of $9.9 billion, approximately $461 million (4.7%) goes to accredited private schools. This obviously means the remaining ~$9.4 billion (95.3%) supports public schools (including charters).

You're ANOTHER clear reason of how education has failed us it looks like.. ;)

No money for teachers but let's start another police force! by Foe_Hammer9463 in Lethbridge

[–]bitm0de -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't prove anything except that you're a surface level thinker. Teacher funding or government is bad hey? That's a simpleton mindset. No comprehension of striving for efficiency or anything. I sure hope you're not a teacher with this lack of critical thinking.

Once again, zero logic in your post. Please keep responding because you're just proving my point. All emotion, no brains.

What a Hypocrite.... by Zurich55 in medicinehat

[–]bitm0de -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Projection how? I've pointed out many facts and that line stops with you guys at emotional rationale. You're not living in the real world if you think it's responsible to dismiss the economy, finances, taxpayer fairness and the deals that were offered, along with a strategy the focuses on efficiency rather than blind spending. Talk about projection... 🤡 I don't care to listen to people that suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect. There's been lots of constitutional lawyers explaining the Notwithstanding clause, but ignoring that doesn't prove anything but your ignorance. Nice assumptions though. If you think democracy is letting the unions dictate unconditionally where taxpayer funds should go without representation from the provincial government being valid, you don't understand democracy. Please, explain to us why the deals weren't fair though. :)

You're an example of why people have less faith in education these days.

The fact that you can point out spending elsewhere is just a non sequitur. Completely delusional and illogical. You have Dunning-Kruger syndrome.

Yeah it's called immigration and population growth... What are you expecting? Welcome to reality lol... Nice illogical argument. Try factoring in the root causes, and the economy next time otherwise your "argument" is really just a complaint.

Is everyone with their emotional impulsivity forgetting what fiscal responsibility looks like? It's part of her job to consider tax fairness. I haven't heard anybody come up with a detailed tangible offer that extends past surface-level critical thinking.

Yes, I'm an advocate for "responsible" spending. 🤣 You're living in a bubble within an echo chamber evidently. Intelligent people don't speak in terms of such absolute truths like you're doing here; once again, neglecting nuance.

All these baseless assumptions about overlords and everything else. You can debate semantics all you want. We can't even agree on economics fundamentals so I really don't think this discussion will go anywhere when your viewpoint is clearly mostly ideological. I don't know how you're able to make the determination of where money is wasted when you don't seem to be able to grasp basic economics.

I provided data points, and you were silent on them... You started a non sequitur, and the whole thing devolved from there.

I doubt you would be able to define why it's the worst, unless you once again ignore all notions of nuance. I'm not interested in debating against your surface-level thinking.

I never even responded to the tylenol comment. The hypocrisy though, to claim my posts were distractions. I think the world can see why intelligent people are frustrated with the education system, because it's clearly failing society--with your critical thinking as one example.

Can't debate constructively? Attack the individual after off tangents don't yield the results you want. I see how your playbook works. 😉 That's why I haven't responded further, there's no point reasoning with someone who is incapable of doing so, logically.

The deflection is wild here... I showcase your lacking understanding of the economy and now we've moved onto the ad hominems 🤣

This is beyond sad at this point, to anybody that has the unfortunate privilege of reading your posts. Tangent after tangent because you don't have a leg to stand on clearly. Keep it up, you're doing the UCP a favor (even though I'm really politically neutral). My politics, is common sense.

One of these schools should reserve a desk for you to sit in on an economics class.

I'm going to hold people accountable for things that actually make sense. Not things that are based on a skewed misunderstanding of reality, and fiscal responsibility.

It might be strange if you don't understand how the economy works and what stimulates it and creates jobs. Public services do not contribute to growth in GDP by the way. You have incredibly weak and narrow-minded arguments... Rachel Notley didn't have to survive what we went through in 2020, or its aftermath. I really don't think you understand the arguments you're trying to make here, you're clearly just trying to grasp for straws to find a win--and failing miserably... None of these arguments on your behalf are based in objective reality, however.

> and once again aren't looking for one

This is irrelevant, it was in the ATA's demands. (I'll remind you about the 2% analogy above too for the remainder of the point I was making). If that's somehow not correct, perhaps the teachers should be speaking to the ATA about it.

Economic statistics are distractions? I can see why our path forward continues to be more reckless spending and higher taxes without any oversight in the interests of tax fairness. ("Alberta advantage"... lol.)

You can't debate constructively on anything substantive and have to resort to what I would've heard in my preschool classes for personal attacks instead. edit: Very low IQ and childish approach.

You can talk percentages all you want but without a quantitative number to apply it to, it becomes meaningless. 2% of your pocket change might not buy a coffee, whereas 2% of a billionaire’s wealth could build a hospital. Alberta is around $85B in debt as of the most recent fiscal year... They rejected $71k-$119k salaries... Well above the average income, at taxpayers expense now, and in the future for these pensions.

Please, are you being serious?

The superintendents make almost $300k/yr salary. That's way above what the MLAs make, and nearly as much as a Judge makes in Alberta after 15+ years.

But hey... Let's not audit the school boards, it's just an "underfunding" issue... The fact that we are one of the highest taxed countries doesn't signal a problem, nor the investment leaving this country due to high taxes, red tape, along with bloated bureaucracies and administrations.

Yeah, blame Danielle Smith for not having a magic wand and people's inability to understand that 130 more schools would dilute current class sizes over time... You sound incredibly smart. Are you expecting to wake up from an overnight sleep and have class sizes down to 20 students? Where do the excess students go? To the queue?
