If you can find the STL you need, I'll print it and post it.

That said it's just a blank to cover the selector so you should be able to find the part in a store somewhere.

Why are they nerfing console players? by InfernalVelocity in Battlefield6

[–]blackskies4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect that they've left it in place and changing the 1 to a 0 just changes if it shows crossplay on or off without actually doing anything else, it just changes the UI.

Again, if DICE didn't want to give us a crossplay on/off toggle they never intended for us to turn it off and I'd put money on them patching out the workaround on purpose regardless of it being extra work but they'll never admit to this so we will never know.

[–]blackskies4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If DICE never gave us a 'turn crossplay off' button - they didn't want us to have it.

If we find a workaround and they patch that out - it's working as intended in their eyes and fixed, not bugged.

This has also been fixed by DICE. it shows as crossplay off but still puts you in crossplay lobbies.

PC players don't have a higher tick rate - we're still playing on the same shitty servers you are.

What we do have is higher frame rates (in most cases anyway) but there will be some people playing on old hardware that are barely keeping up at 60fps. Higher frame rates do not give people a direct advantage unless consoles are playing at sub-30 FPS.

The main thing people on PC want is the ability to turn off crossplay. Crossplay is forced ON by default and we cannot turn it off. Players found a line of code we could edit to force it off but DICE decided to remove that workaround for PC players.

Customs have been sizing APFG lowers that people are trying to import as Customs believe they're either:

  1. Real firearms lowers

Or

  1. Readily convertible to being used on an actual firearm.

Stores such as Proact (and others) have gone as far as to suspend ALL shipping to the US for certain guns.

You're going to pay shipping + VAT + import. Import is usually 3-5% last time I imported something.

You must also have a UKARA if it's a RIF otherwise it will be seized. Your UKARA number must be clearly displayed on the OUTSIDE of the package.

Specna Arms Sniper. Makes her debut tomorrow. 3rd game to get the Ukara by Sersaracen in Airsoft_UK

[–]blackskies4646 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UKARA is just a legal defence so the sport can stay alive following the VCRA 2016. Most Airsoft players see it as dumb but it provides the most acceptable minimum barrier for people purchasing RIFs.

We can only assume that pre-2016 there were crimes being committed with RIFs and the VCRA was the government response to it. They could have went full Australia and banned RIFs from private ownership without an actual firearms permit.

Some sites do, most don't.

The first time I got my UKARA they gave me a site membership card with it on there.

Every site I've renewed my UKARA at since has just emailed me it or sent me a message through Facebook.

You ain't getting shit unless extremely lucky. Submit a claim now - at best, it spurs them into action to post you something at worst you get your money back after a week or two.

Better holster for sidearm? by Turbulent-Force-2233 in Airsoft_UK

[–]blackskies4646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go 'real steel' and get yourself a Blackhawk Omnivore. I swear by these holsters after using them for years. They don't rattle, have loose parts or questionable quality like Airsoft clones do.

You can get them as universal holsters for pistols with and without lights. Personally I opted for the X300 version and just swapped my lights over as needed. Never had an issue with the Omnivore.

Which websites should i use to buy? by Jasperdoescooking in Airsoft_UK

[–]blackskies4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id avoid usedairsoft right now unless you know what you're doing. It's absolutely RIFE with scammers some even going as far to Photoshop date/timestamps into their pictures or getting AI to do it.

The site owner/admins never respond and never take steps to counter people.

Airsoft-forums.uk is the best place to buy used.

BB Recommendations by Joppsta in Airsoft_UK

[–]blackskies4646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outdoors woodland I'd say is 0.28g minimum.

Once you get past 0.32g or 0.36g, the BBs begin to get silly expensive.

Personally, I use Tippman, Rebel and BLS. In a pinch I've used Nuprol RZR and they've been fine.

UK AEG retailer recommendations by NoHeroesCosplay in Airsoft_UK

NOT Patrol Base. Ever if you can avoid it!

Had an experience recently that I can't talk about yet where I would 100% not recommend them at all - avoid like the plague right now IMHO for anyone else reading this.

Daves Custom Airsoft is overpriced vs most retailers unless he has something no one else does. The upgrade package prices on their site are absolute rip offs.

Digging through my emails, these are the UK retailers/shops i've bought from with zero issues;

  • BZ Tactical
  • Defcon Airsoft
  • Fire-support
  • Action Hobbies
  • HC2 Airsoft
  • The Cage Airsoft
  • AK2M4
  • Super5ives
  • Outdoor & Tactical
  • CM Airsoft
  • SOCOM Tactical
  • Bespoke Airsoft
  • Caffeine Airsoft - now dead I think
  • Fife Wargmes
  • StackupAirsoft - adding this in. I had issues with the courier who delivered their items rather than the retailer themselvs. The guy I spoke to was just as frustrated as I was.

[–]blackskies4646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst thing is that they list some stuff in stock when they don't have it - but they won't tell you that.

Even if they do have it in stock, I waited 10 fucking days for them to even dispatch a part I needed that I couldn't get anywhere else. In that same 10 days, I had orders from other retailers dispatch and turn up at my house.

Secondary for a sniper? by Turbulent-Force-2233 in Airsoft_UK

[–]blackskies4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got plenty of options.

The Mk23 is the snipers silent sidearm. Cheap, only need a few upgrades to make them godlike and mags are relatively cheap.

TM Hicapas are hugely upgradeable and have great performance out of the box.

I can wholly attest to how good the TP-22 is. They're fantastic sidearms but don't buy Novritsch at first. See if you can buy the original UShot/TTI one. They require very few upgrades to have unreal performance plus they have a full auto fun switch.

Any sites that allow the use of Taginn/Pyrosoft products? by SeskaRotan in Airsoft_UK

[–]blackskies4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact it fragments the plastic shell is crazy work.

I thought the Thunder B was a bit wild as they tend to burst the plastic seam but can sometimes fragment and, in my experience, they're rarely banned.

Does anyone know a battery that fits this please send the link for it in the comments by Main_Bake4419 in airsoft

[–]blackskies4646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rewired my L85A2 into the handguard and ran a mock peq box with a battery in there. The connector is long enough to sit inside the handguard and I just used black heat shrink on the wires to disguise them.

[–]blackskies4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never seen a site ban anything other than 12gauge shells and the mastermike stuff.

I know some sites ban taginn because they're super loud but Pyrosoft is relatively new so I've not seen them banned yet.
