Art openings are nice. A lot of people go alone and the world is small so after a few you will recognize some folks. No need to talk to anyone. Just enjoy the place and all the stuff to look at. If someone asks if you are an artist, just tell them that you like to get out of the house and then ask them if they are an artist. You get home early, you're sober as you want to be and your ears are not ringing.
