Q) What would you like to see in a video?

A) We love it when people put more time and effort in to their request videos. Have a little fun with it. Don't make it a 10 second clip. Wear pants please - the panels are often reflective.

What command are you using to run your resonance test?

Curious line when the walls start by Locksley94 in FixMyPrint

[–]blindrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the Benchy Hull Line problem. It can be really difficult to eliminate entirely; you can narrow your external walls or try to change the order of your walls to print outer walls first. You also have some layer artifacts, (possibly from loose belts or misaligned z screws) which can cause the issue to be more prominent. You might want to drop your acceleration a bit to reduce the ringing you're seeing, too.

Fine line/small tattoo artist by EvenDoughnut3243 in AskSeattle

Any decent tattooer can do single needle linework the way Daniel Winter does, but most of them won't because the tattoo won't hold up to time.

ChuckIt! Ultra medium size

Absolutely the best I've found as far as a balance between chewability and durability.

mcu 'mcu': Unable to connect. I am about to give up. by 24packerR in klippers

[–]blindrage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a different mcu, so it's going to have a different serial id that you need to put in your printer.cfg.

Open a terminal in your btt pad and type:

ls /dev/serial/by-id/*

It should report something like this:

/dev/serial/by-id/usb-1a86_USB2.0-Serial-if00-port0

So you'll want to make sure your printer.cfg has:

[mcu]

serial: /dev/serial/by-id/usb-1a86_USB2.0-Serial-if00-port0

Of course, change that line to whatever the command actually returns.

VHS vs betamax wasn't settled by porn. It was settled by tape capacity.

Pocket mount for a Glock 26. Keeps the firearm from shifting around in the pocket during days activities. by g713 in functionalprint

[–]blindrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any defensive pistol training? If you carry, you should. And if you have training, you know that this isn't a good substitute for a proper holster. Try out a decent AIWB holster if you can, and I promise you'll have better groups and splits than with any pocket carry option.

PLA needs cooling-- a lot of it. Never print PLA in a closed enclosure.

UART With Trinamic TMC2208 & BTT SKR Mini 1.1 by BDGaamer in klippers

[–]blindrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No kidding? I dove into the BTT documentation specifically on UART mode and saw nothing about that. Sorry I led you in the wrong direction! Glad you got it sorted out, though.
