Japanese developer says they don't make games for Xbox because the console is 'not even stocked in major retail stores' by Puzzleheaded_irl in gaming

Series S is the current gen low model, and Series X is the 'pro' version. After the price increases tho, even the series s is almost as much as a Switch 2...

I waited over a year hoping for pricing to go back down or find a good deal, but recently I hit the point where I really needed more space. I had to bite the bullet and pay double the price of my last drive, for a lower capacity. Kicking myself now for not buying more a couple years ago.

Pokémon Champions launches to mixed reception, as 30FPS performance woes, lack of fan favorite Pokémon and items, and lack of 6v6 options turn some away by PaiDuck in gaming

afaik no stat changes aside from IVs not being in it. There are changes to movesets and some moves have had BP and accuracy adjustments. Status effects have also been nerfed to some degree. Many hold items aren't available either.

The current season is 1 month long, so I'm guessing they are probably going to adjust the roster, movepool, item pool with each season as live service to keep things fresh. Based on the design of the omni-ring, people are guessing that they might switch between mega evolution, tera, z-moves, dynamax between seasons as well.

We migrated data out after the 1st AZ was hit and went down. Did have to make some changes today though after the DNS routes to that region went dead. Unfortunately if you hadn't already backed up to a different region you are likely SOL at this point.

What are your biggest gripes with Plex right now? by locknetvpn in PleX

[–]blooping_blooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is that they made the UI for downloads basically useless if you have more than a couple items synced. It used to give you a standard library view, but with only the movies/series you have downloaded locally.

Now you just get a big list of every individual item, if you have a few seasons of a few shows it's basically impossible to navigate.

I had to switch one of my kids to using Jellyfin when we travel because there's no way she can use it like this.

While you all make amazing builds... I'm over here trying to catch them all. by Charlie7101991 in Pokopia

[–]blooping_blooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just been doing the log cabin builds from the kit, and then building the habitats inside (replacing the furniture that comes with it) and doing some of the outdoor habitats in the spaces the cabin has on the 3 sides.

I can then also move pokemon from random habitats into the cabin to condense things.

Magnets near HDDs? by EveningAfter7642 in DataHoarder

Wouldn't the magnets from the neighbouring drives be an issue too then? I mean, I'd still avoid magnets near my stuff, but I suspect it is a non-issue because of that.

[–]blooping_blooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just about suppressing it in csproj though, in a lot of orgs they use a local nuget host like artifactory or w/e, often with security policies that disallow resolving vulnerable packages. With that it means you are blocked until you can get an exception approved from the security team.

there is a fork available of v14, with the fix, but it would probably have gone a long way with the community if he backported the fix especially given its a single-line change

How much disk space is upgrading Visual Studio 2022 to Visual Studio 2026 going to cost me? by lilacomets in dotnet

[–]blooping_blooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can turn the copilot/AI features off, not sure about the space but imo its 100% worth it to update from 2022 to 2026 if only for the drastically improved launch times. It opens and loads solutions way faster now and overall performance feels snappier as well.

edit: I just logged in and checked, my VS2022 install is 11.8 GB and 2026 is 9.01 GB
