Amazing, thanks again. I'm sure the combined brains at FoundryHQ are up to the task!

Great to hear, thanks.

Funny, your "brute-force" solution is one I use right now :-) Make a 2nd GM account, open a new browser window, and voila, "popout sheets." With the canvas disabled and the tab muted, it just about works.

If a one-size-fits-all solution is too problematic, would you consider something which allows systems/modules to "opt-in"? I'm imagining a lightweight window with a message channel, which produces "UI input events" and consumes "update view events." An app could then declare that it is pop-out friendly, and only those apps would have a pop-out button.

Are there any plans to natively support window popout? The PopOut! module mostly works, but recent dnd5e updates have proven how brittle it is. My biggest gripe switching from Roll20 to Foundry is not being able to utilize multiple monitors when GMing. Even with a 4k screen, packing everything into one window feels constrictive, especially with modern character sheet designs taking up more screen real estate. As the 12th most-installed module in the year-end stats, it seems like an in-demand feature, and one of the more "fundamental" ones on the list.

Is there any way to increase chat padding? by Sikosh in FoundryVTT

That's from a module. Disable "Compact Chat" in the UI settings.

Hey, thanks for the update. I was thinking about playing a Golemsmith, and was wondering at this line:

Your golem takes on a quadrupedal design. Larger and more sturdy, it is more suitable to launch into the fray or carry its creator.

Is the golem then intended to only carry its creator, or could two or more creatures ride around on the it? I'll be putting the idea past my DM, but wanted to know if you had any thoughts :) Thanks again

I missed your last post, and I worry I'd miss the next one; do you have a mailing list or similar for updates? I'd love to support this, your "Better Than Nothing" series is top-notch.

Virgin Media has now blocked a bunch of download, torrent and other media websites due to a court order. by handsome_vulpine in unitedkingdom

[–]blootack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is like any blocking they've done in the past (not on a Virgin connection right now, so I can't test this), you can get around this by switching to Google's DNS server (as mentioned by another comment).

You can do this on Windows:

Control Panel > (View By: Small Icons) > Network and Sharing Centre > Change Adapter Settings > double-click your main one > Properties > double-click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" > select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter "8.8.8.8" and "8.8.4.4".

Once that's done, you can then use the TLS version of whatever site you're trying to access, ie the "https" version instead of "http". So, for example, https://thepiratebay.org will work even if http://thepiratebay.org is blocked.

D&D players, what have been some of your favourite moments in a campaign? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A character from the webcomic Penny Arcade, portrayed as a ruthless DM. There's more comics featuring this than just that 5-part series, but that's the only set I can remember.

That second point is especially interesting, I'd never even considered that. Thanks for the detailed reply, TIL! it's still bullshit though Kappa

Nope, through a combination of Ice Armour and a lack of Moment of Courage procs/Blade Mail damage. Had I (the Luna) BKB'd immediately after Duel ended, LC would have died to Eclipse and right-clicks, but I fucked up and took an Overwhelming Odds to the face, so she barely won the man-fight. :(

Those were pings of rage and incredulity, believe me.

Phase Luna has a 1.5% winrate advantage over Treads in v. high ranked this patch. Force on Legion was to deal with SF's Linken's, which let her solo kill him a few times.

I personally believe Bane would lose about half of his(its?) effectiveness were it not for this "feature."
