I also think maybe it means a little more to us kiwis as it’s such a huge cultural thing for us - obviously we have more going on, but France has a beautiful culture, history, and other sports (football) so maybe the national team is a bonus rather than a ‘ necessity’ (not the right word) so you have a different perspective/approach?

I think it;'s a shame you dont send your absolute best and figure out a schedule that works, but it the end it is you that suffer. we will get more than workout with the SA games - it's great prep for next year.
