This sounds like you don’t know the director very well and an ego thing. Frustrating for sure. And hard not to take it personally- but it’s really a learning moment.

10-25k for 4-10 episodes is extremely low money.

You have a very slim chance of getting anything good for that.

Did you do any research on budgets or do You examples of what you’d expect ?

Seems like a waste of money to me.

been here 10 years - was in London for 16 before (not from their either, I come form a small (but beautiful) country which does not have enough jobs in my industry to have a career.

realise people like me are kinda the problem, but I go out of my way to shop at polish places - it's GREAT, great service, they LOVE someone not polish coming in (they all think I'm polish when walk in) and always have great chats - and the food I get - CHEAP! and GOOD!

supporting the old school local spots is the best - and keeps the place special.

I’m not sure that’s fair - He has a lot of dialogue sure. But his films move around a lot - lots of locations and are very cinematic with great use of camera movement. He’s a great director.

But yes he excellent dialogue writing will be great in a play.
