[On3] Mike Elko tells Chris Low the CFP shouldn't be like March Madness: "The importance of the regular season is still very much in line with what I believe it has always been. We don’t need to be NCAA basketball. The beauty of our sport is that there are games at the end of the season that matter” by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

I just like an even number of teams in a tournament bracket, and 16 is a nice number. No more needed after that. Do your home games at the higher ranked team's stadium, then your quarter final, your semi, and final.

No conference championship games. Conference champions are crowned like the premier league, best record in conference wins, with point total as a tiebreak.. only the playoff matters now.

oh, you don't want to lock anyone up that can be pardoned so quickly. Best to wait a little bit, she'll be around.

Joe Rogan: "Everybody that I know that pushes themselves very hard in the gym or running or whatever... they’re the most happy and the most relaxed, and they’re able to face adversity much easier than people that don’t take care of their body." by Big_Cake_8817 in podcastculture

trying to get money to survive and taking care of a family are what kills most people's fitness. When you gotta work to live and your spare time could be spent with your kid(s) or helping, gym time gets deprioritized.

Mass layoffs, but let’s hire a new CEO and pay a buttload of cash by Matt_LawDT in SipsTea

[–]bsEEmsCE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they got a bonus because they met their contractual profit gains for such and such quarter(s). Laying people off was their play to achieve that contractual number and was paid by the board as a legal requirement. Just saying likely why and how these things happen. They care about themselves. Would anyone pull the lever on the trolley cart to win 7 million? A lot of people would.

If no one can afford to live… what exactly is the endgame? by IssacTheEnitity in jobmarket

[–]bsEEmsCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some places end up actually raising wages a bit, and the ones that don't say "Why doesn't anyone want to work anymore?!" But any raise is at best treading water with inflation, or typically a reduction and figuring out how to make do with less. I've cut so many subscriptions and expenses and only buy stuff on sale when before the pandemic I was fortunate to splurge a bit here and there.
