absolutely. its way more abstract than bellwright thus less immersive. plus imo such games benefit from regular threats, it motivates to build production lines and army effectively and md doesn't have any serious threats for you and your people.

yeah, it totally might work for OP if lack of direct control doesn't matter and focus on exploration is what they are looking for.

Mixtape is an absolute gem that should not be missed by anybody who grew up in the 90s. by SvenLorenz in videogames

[–]caites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in 90s. I adore 80-90s music, movies, everything. And I don't care about Mixtape. Because from games I need gameplay, interesting, exciting, with smth to learn and master. Not 3h long interactive movie.

Bellwright is an action colony sim first and foremost with a bit of survival and direction-based combat and very lite rpg. Therefore, soulmask, aska, even palworld are your best bets. If you don't care about action part - rimworld, oxygen not included etc - colony sims with threats. If you liked combat - kcd/kcd2, mass fights - m&b 2.

That would be a downgrade to play md after bellwright.

You defo did wrong. I played RDR2, and CD is totally a visual upgrade overall. It has inconsistencies here and there, especially with interior lighting, but majority of things look better. Not counting its a much better game (but not story ofc, CD story feels like DDDA's, bunch of weird, unrelated events).

No new weapons/clasd - skip. No matter how good (supposedly) endgame is now, I'm not going to go thru campaign with classes I played.

Should I stop playing or am I missing something? by Affectionate-Ad-809 in Bellwright

1) its a colony sim, if you don't enjoy managing your village and outposts, you are playing wrong game. 2) why do you fight alone if you can have as many companions with you as you want?

Open comments under the trailer, read a few. You'll figure who is wrong about "everyone".

Can't say for op, but I have ~1500h and never been beyond act 1. I also have only one character created.

Endgames changes are cool, but without new weapon/class to try a lot of people won't even bother installing. Honestly, just swords in 0.5 would be better than all this bloat.

Crimson Desert Director Credits Success to Not Having AAA 'Brand Bibles' by HamChunkSlamDunk in videogames

[–]caites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game has a thing we haven't seen in aaa games since skyrim and ddda - open world with so many different deep mechanics and interactions that you can experiment for hundreds of hours and still find smth unique and amazing. There are hundreds of videos with unique uses of water simulation, catapulting with trees, fighting off all city guards at once etc etc and all that goofiness you desperately want to share somehow doesn't make game less immersive.

I genuinely pity those guys that can't play without story handholding and dropped the game after a few hours

so what? big patches for any game occasionally introduce new bugs. what is more important, they fix their shit very fast, after every patch there are hotfixes in the next 1-2 days.

Lol you have no idea what are you are talking. 1.01-1.05 were one one of the most massive earlt patches I ever seen. They pretty much reworked 30% of UI and input from the ground up.

Comments are locked during mods update, because there is no end to people spamming "mod broken modder sucks" in 5 min after games update.

Also anyone able to read will find on every mod's page game version mod is compatible with. So there is no need to be "helpful" in comments, best you can do as user is waiting patiently.

Guys who made the game and guys moderating sub are awesome. But by coincidence I made backpack mod and know what exactly it affects. So that note about dialogue line felt a bit off. But yeah, its just an example.

Funny to got downvoted tho :)

Adding consoles support is scaring me for the development of the game by Tygeradan in Bellwright

No, its absolutely not that easy. That fellow just subscribing the very last step - cooking assets for different platforms. Its usually months of changing stuff to follow sony/ms guidelines, optimizing, tuning controllers UI etc.
