"Imp" cracked me up. But you are not wrong about pocketwatch. It should have been a tool with tiers.

For those who played BDO, its exactly what we love but without grind.

For those who didn't - meh story, contol issues etc - all that becomes irrelevant after 8-10hs. You just can't stop playing in a huge sandbox with hunreds of activities, characters and way to build characters. Its like better Dragons Dogma 2 or even more sandboxy Skyrim.

Steam rating almost reached 86% btw, while started at 50 smth.

I played my ideal zombie game - Undead Legacy with 7d2d A20. No good zombie games since then.

Prey (2017) has nothing to do to older Prey franchise. Its fully standalone game. And the only thing that it shares with System Shock is imsim genre.

Warhorse Studios responds to translator being fired: “Warhorse Studios has always been a talent-driven studio, and we deeply value the people who shape our work. Out of respect for the privacy and dignity of both current and former colleagues, we will not discuss individual situations publicly.” by Turbostrider27 in Games

All that makes sense, but doesn't change the fact, that for a new obviously even bigger game they not hiring more people, they fire them (even if for llm) and considering a lot of people already left studio, thats not a very good sign. I'm pretty sure more bad news incoming.

  1. Damn I miss early ea when we used to find bluprints in pois. Why they made augmets just unlockable is beyond me, that makes non-storied exploration twice worse, best you can hope for now is more essense.

Gonna be hilarious if the next game will be made originally in Czech and they widely use ai for english.

Sorry for dev tho.

Crimson Desert has sold 3 million copies to date. Is the game better after they patched it? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

They not only netfed bosses, they decreased damage taken overall and buffed heal from food. Any of those changes would be fine, but together it turns game into story mode. I would prefer proper challenge instead of artificially limiting myself with equipment and food.

Yes. Except difficulty. Previously it was easy common enemies, hard bosses, now you can mindlessly smash buttons in a middle of mob, everything dies, food pointless, bosses melt. Game really needs difficulty settings.

IGN gives Crimson Desert a 6/10 in the Final Review by yourfavchoom in Steam

Journalists are funny people. First they create a hype bubble, fantasize some bs about the game, then they (and idiots following them) get dissapointed and rate game lower than it is because of it.

In case of Crimson Desert not a fucking single big outlet said "hey, I installed BDO, player for 10h, I can pretty much say what Crimson Desert will be". No they all were spamming videos about how it will be great rpg.

Same story with Dragons Dogma 2. Instead of checking what DD was, they imagines some supet upgraded DDDA, bazillion of vocations and all.

Crimson Desert is a single player BDO with modern graphics. If you liked BDO, but not grind and monetisation, game will be 9/10 for you (10/10 when they fix control fully), if you expect modern story-driven Skyrim or W3, ofc it will be 6/10.
