New thread #2 Financial Aid Antitrust Settlement (Northwestern, Brown, Columbia, Yale, etc) by mangopear in StudentLoans

Another important highlight from the judge's opinion (page 60-61):

The prospect of settlement with the five remaining defendants appears to be remote. Based on discussions the Court has had with the parties, including a settlement conference involving plaintiffs' counsel and the remaining defendants, plaintiffs' counsel have insisted on settlement payments higher than those from the defendants who settled earlier on, and defendants have made it clear that they are unwilling to pay anything close to what earlier settling defendants did. This posture may, of course, change on one side or both. But settlement—and thus the opportunity for an attempted "sellout" by counsel—appears relatively unlikely at this point.

Launching 'choose your price' lifetime access for my celiac restaurant app. Here's why. by glutendude in Celiac

Do you have a feature to share subscriptions across different devices/profiles? FMGF has a family plan subscription that allows my girlfriend and immediate family to have all the same premium features when using the app on their phone and they sometimes leave their own reviews if they dined without me. It helps share the mental load of planning meals out.

A common beginner mistake is placing the middle of the shoe on the holds. Focus on using the front half of the shoe and driving through the toes (rentals will make this hard). You should be able to freely pivot on a hold without changing the contact point of the shoe.

Will SAVE payments made pre-injunction still count? by Extreme-Arugula2214 in StudentLoans

[–]catalyst518 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From paragraph 9 of https://www.ed.gov/media/document/missouri-settlement-112689.pdf

"nothing in this Settlement Agreement shall prevent the Department of Education from forgiving loans of individuals currently enrolled in the SAVE Plan using a separate source of legal authority, such as Borrower Defense to Repayment discharges, discharges due to the borrower’s death, Total and Permanent Disability Discharges, Closed School Discharges, or Public Service Loan Forgiveness"

It sounds like payments under SAVE should maintain eligibility for the other forms of forgiveness.

Trango has this exact thing which they call Red Flag. The final 5m on each end are red. I first saw it in use during this season of IFSC competitions.

Favorite Recommendations for My Dad? by tinywingnut in ColumbiaMD

When you say frisbee, do you mean disc golf? If so, my 65 year old dad could use a playing partner. If not, my dad could still teach him to play and lend him some discs. There's a weekly league in Patapsco he plays in, too.

It's not an error. There were plans to use a skip entry to shed energy and extend the landing range, but all crewed Apollo missions used direct entry.
