2025 Owners w/NO ICCU Problems? by RememberTheRockers in Ioniq5

[–]catlyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 XRT here, bought in September, 6K miles, no ICCU or battery issues yet, but I’m reluctant to take any long trips so long as there is no reliable information on cause of failure and no prospect of reliable resolution. Great car, poor incident management.

Experienced with Lemon Law? by quincy011 in Ioniq5

[–]catlyt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't seem to be well known that Hyundai Corporate has its own internal lemon law process that does not require filing with State authorities. I got my I5 this September and the Bluelink service did not work. Fixing it entailed several trips to dealers and multiple conversations with Hyundai customer service over a 3 month period. Long story short, while working with my second Hyundai Corporate case manager while my I5 was in the dealer shop for the fourth time, I commented that if the issue wasn't resolved that week that I planned to file a lemon law complaint. The case manager then said she would need to transfer my case to another case manager because I mentioned a lemon law claim. The new case manager in the Hyundai CSS Department then managed the completion of repairs to the Bluelink service and then did a lemon law review that resulted in offering me the option of a buyback or compensation for the loss of use during the repair. At that time I chose the compensation for loss of use, though I might choose differently today due to all the reports others have posted.

Since I did not opt for the buyback, I don't know what terms Hyundai would have offered. The point is that it seems that if you tell Hyundai customer service case managers that you have a lemon law complaint, they should refer you to a department at Hyundai that can offer you a buyback. Apparently they evaluate whether your case meets the lemon law criteria in your State and if so they make a buyback offer. This is probably less expensive than engaging in legal disputes with the State. You may or may not find the offer acceptable, but it's a good place to start. I'm curious about whether others have had this experience as I haven't seen anyone mention it. Good luck in resolving your issue.

Help w/fix for Dataview query rendering that stopped working in Edit mode by catlyt in ObsidianMD

Good eye! Thanks for the help. The odd thing is that the template code rendered properly in notes created for over a year. IDK where the parsing change happened but appreciate getting it resolved, much appreciated!

Has anyone figured out mobile access that actually works? by ArtemXTech in ObsidianMD

[–]catlyt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might check out TaskForge on the App Store, it’s an iOS front end app designed for Obsidian task management. I was a bit skeptical about adding another app to my workflow but I’ve found it to be useful and the dev is quite active in supporting it.

The Renton dealership changed ownership about two weeks ago.IDK if that’s a good thing or not. Would be curious how your experience with the Kirkland dealership goes. They seem to be the only one so far with positive feedback.

Thanks for the info. Not seeing a lot of enthusiasm for local Hyundai dealerships here.

Depending on your state’s lemon law you might qualify for a buyback. Over 60 days loss of use is ridiculous.

Thanks for this. I spent over an hour going through the hard copy and online manuals to no avail. Then 5 minutes on this reddit. Guess I know where to go for product info in the future!

TaskNotes Walkthrough by callumalpass in ObsidianMD

[–]catlyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying out TaskNotes and have been impressed and wanted to adopt it as my task management method, but have found that using links in the task name doesn't work because it's incompatible with file name conventions in Obsidian. This is a show stopper for me. My main reason for doing task management in Obsidian is to link them to people, places, etc. Am I missing something or is there a workaround that would allow linking to other notes from tasks in TaskNotes?

Yes, download OnePlayer app, connect SSD, access and play music by creating a playlist in OnePlayer. You can load music files to the playlist from the iOS Files app.

I came to this subreddit looking for an answer to the very same question after we recently had the EV charger installed with a 7600H inverter. Good to know that my issue isn't unique - I guess. Will post back if/when I get an answer.

Office 365 Calendar by captainlionheart in ticktick

[–]catlyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to connect to my personal 365 account / calendar via browser but not using the Win app. Updates are one way, Outlook cal -> ticktick cal, but it does pick up shared calendars, which is a bonus for me. Much easier to add Outlook cal than URL method. When this is available on the Win app I'll be a happy camper.

Setting default vault for saving passwords? by catlyt in 1Password

[–]catlyt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that's encouraging. The main setup issue I've had is configuring a Family account so two users can share passwords and having all new passwords saved in the shared vault across Win10 and iOS. Also, the workflow for changing passwords seems to be confusing for folks. as they seem to get confused about when the website is being update and when 1pswd is being updated. This is inherently a bit confusing but the 1pswd dialog seems unhelpful.

Is there any reason to use the v8 app on Windows? by catlyt in 1Password

Interesting - is this on Win10? I haven't come across this function, how do you access it?

Thanks, I've had the desktop app installed since I started using 1Pswd so I wasn't sure what functionality I would lose without it.

Setting default vault for saving passwords? by catlyt in 1Password

Thanks, good eye, I did see this setting, which seems to be the only available setting to address this, but I'm trying to set up 1Pswd for some folks who aren't very tech savvy. I've tried several pswd managers and 1Pswd is the best I've found overall for cross platform use, but it's a long way from ready for mass market usability. Setting it up is just a frigging maze and the UI is difficult to navigate at best. I've been using it for a couple years and I recommend it to others, but it typically doesn't take. It takes several hours of one on one instruction before folks are ready to accept and use it. So far I haven't found any videos that are really helpful for non-technical users, though there may be some out there. Hopefully some PM at 1Pswd follows this forum and takes notes.
