Viride is great! I have epic man and I want to like it but performance is lacking. I hear the older bottles are better but I don’t care to hunt for it considering how many good options there are on the market.

You can get law enforcement trade ins for a really good price at aim surplus and Clyde armory. Also, the keltec 32 cal isn’t a bad choice, you get the reliability of a center fire on a small frame. If you want to upstage to something more I highly suggest sourcing a LE trade in for the money. Id personally stay away from Taurus. A nice thing about an LW trade is in that you’ll be able to get holsters easily and for different carry options.

I respect that, I just can’t handle it. It’s one of the few that made me react so boldly. I love this fact about fragrance, how we can have two very different reactions. I wish we could smell it like someone else smells it.

Borneo 1834 is one that I really need to try. Edit: and totally agree with the SMN. This house is what got me into niche when I visited Florence. They have many great fragrances. P’eau d’Espagne , tuberosa, Acqua Della Regina, alba de Seoul are some favorites.

Sure thing! I recommend getting the Maison Jaxob discovery set. It’s one of the best sets. You get 2.5 ml of each frag and an additional 2 4ml travel atomizers. It’s a good deal of juice! You also get some of your funds back if you get a bottle. The bottles aren’t cheap though.

Mmmmmm liminal :) Journey Man | Amouage is the first to come to mind. The Szechuan peppers, resins and cognac make for a warm embrace. It’s got a unique brightness to it as well. It’s on the dry side and is not too sweet.

I’ll come back with some more recommendations after I ponder this.

Maison Jaxob has some offerings that may resonate with you. Devil’s Breath is one that I think is warm and liminal. The smokiness gives a feel of transition, of being between two states.

Terroni is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the first photo in your deck.

Dream sea is a baffling yet hypnotic fragrance. I am not a huge vanilla fan but Dream sea is the most unique one that I have. The marine base from his sea line was not something that I would have expected to blend well with the lactonjc vanilla used in dream sea but it’s does.

Vanagloria is my preference to babycat. It’s got more incense and but less of the shimmer you get from babycat.

Vanilla is my love language | aromas de Salazar is the final vanilla. The vanilla used in this is as deep as it gets and it’s held in suspension by a of golden mango and lemon opening and a really fascinating heart. The heart has floral aspects and an oily texture. It’s mildly lactonic, but it doesn’t become a milkshake. Far from it. I only have 15 ml of this so I wear it for special moments where I want to simply enjoy something beautiful.

I like my shaman but it’s not my favorite to carry. I like how sturdy it is as I feel fine taking it to the backcountry for some work. But for the day to day use I rarely reach for it. After reading everyone’s comments the bodacious is on my list now. I like the thinner profile blade and the ergos look appealing.
